If people consider the thread to be insensitive then that is perfectly fine, and is their opinion and to be respected. What I don't understand is continually posting on it for the very reasons they claim we should not be posting on it? You only have to look at how some posts are worded and it is obvious that the primary reason for posting was not about the family but to get digs at other posters.

Up until the sanctimonious posts the thread was basically a reasonable discussion. If people do not like the subject matter then start your own threads about topics that are of interest to you.

This from the most sanctimonious person on here.

I suppose that this will get removed though, although it is ok for some to say that others are sanctimonious.

To be fair John, I didn't call anybody that disagreed with me sanctimonious ... I called sanctimonious posts 'sanctimonious' (check if you wish) ... they were the ones spoiling what was otherwise reasonable discussion ... whether or not you agreed with the topic itself. I generally try not to attack individuals although for some reason people read more into my posts than is actually there .. and I do admit to sometimes being less than rigorous in how I word things.

However I repeat that I hope many many parents are discussing this tragic accident in the hope that maybe being forewarned will mean we do not hear of this again.
