The only trouble with supposedly cheaper printers is that they tear you to shreds with the cost of consumables. The cheaper the printer, the more exhorbitant the cost of the ink cartridges ! Still, if it pays for your new toy......

That is one of the first things I check out qb before buying a printer, how much the ink is and can I get compatibles at a good price. And yes, I can. A company called 'First Call Inks' via Amazon do compatibles for mine and many other printers, and the reviews have been very good with customers rating them 5*.

Very nice, Stephen.

I did look at upping to FSX but I've got such a large library of FS9 add-ons that probably don't work with the later version, that I'll leave it for now. I don't "fly" often enough to justify it.

I hope you are still happy with the printer.

That's because the printhead is in the cartridge (like Lexmark). I don't know about Stephen's current machine, but Epson's have the printhead in the printer.
