Motorists Cycle tweet

Unread post by Kendhni »

has anybody else been following this story

I have listened to her being interviewed and she has without doubt been well briefed on what to say ... stupid flamin woman for tweeting about it in the first place. I have little sympathy for her but overall I think the media are making mountains out of molehills on this one.

My son was knocked off his pushbike whilst negotiating a roundabout by an incompetent driver who said he didn't see him because the sun was in his eyes. The bike was mangled and my son suffered a dislocated shoulder (very painful). If I'd had my way, that driver would be banned since they were clearly unfit to drive, oh and I'd have smashed his face in as well. This stupid woman clearly isn't fit to drive either.

Cycling cane a bit dodgy these days. Roads are packed with cars a a person on a bike doesn't stand out that much especialy as they can manover so quickly. I've had a couple of close calls with cyclists who suddenly appeared in a group of cars going around a roundabout etc.

I've just read the link Ken. I didn't realise she'd actually knocked somebody off their bike and drove off! What a stupid, arrogant little cow. She's got to be charged surely?
I hate cyclists on the road I must admit. Some are fine and keep to the side but there are a lot that take up an 'aggressive' stance in the middle of the road and you're stuck behind them for ages.

Surely the problem here is not the accident, which from what I have read is being dealt with by the authorities, but the (improper) use of social media. There are some who seem to think that every bit of their lives has to be documented on Twitter, Facebook et al.

I think this stupid woman's court case is today ... will be interesting to hear what happens. A heavy fine and a loss of licence for several months would be proportionate.

And it appears the lawyers have got in o the act ... how can she plead not guilty when her tweet is an admission of guilt?
