Re: Football
Whatever the result, one of them was going to be insufferable: - at least until their 1st match in the premiership!

Re: Football
Whilst PTE will be celebrating tonight let's not forget Mob who will be feeling pretty gutted. I have every sympathy with him, even though they stuffed my team. In football one man's joy is another man's sorrow.
I expect at this moment he is checking out the distances from the hornet's nest to the metropolises which are Ipswich, Huddersfield and Leicester. How can he be downhearted?

Indeed Foxy...
Congratulations to PTE and Meg.
Hard lines, Moby...but the Italian youngsters can console themselves with a night on the town in 'Udders, next year.

Are not the football league banning Watford style loans from next season, little Zola will then have to work his magic on less talented UK players, good we might then get some points from them.

Re: Football
Well done to the Palarse
I see a very quick return but hopefully they manage the financial situation well and secure the clubs future for years to come
Poor old Simon Jordan. All those years. All that money. So much hair dye.
Mind you, his book's a blinding read

Well done to Palace - PTE how's your head this morning? Up the red 'n blues!!!!
I'm really envious - all that summer planning for journeys to Man U , Man City, Arsenal...... & Hull!
Commiserations to MOB - lots of "what ifs" about games that should've been won earlier through the season but at least you have next season to look forward to and still plenty of wealthy supporters - spare a million for Aldershot guv?

MOB. look on the plus side. Next year your ticket prices will be a lot less than PTE will have to pay!

Re: Football
We failed to turn up and the best team won but on the evidence of that particular match neither side seemed remotely capable of any sort of success in the Premiership, perhaps Olly agrees given that he has reportedly requested Zaha out on loan from ManU next season as well as this.
I didn't mind losing ( much ), we deserved to, but why did it have to be to a beautifully struck ball from ex Watford's Kevin Philips
Zola will put their wheels back on for next year and with a few changes they will be all the stronger for their humiliation .... auto spot with Foxy next season is my target, that and a ten nil thrashing of Yeovil.
Well done Paul and Meg

Re: Football
The problem for the FA ' could be ' that these players may not actually be loaned to Watford by Udinese even though they are contracted to them. It is possibly a case of the owner transferring a resource from one of his Clubs to another one of his Clubs ... movement of labour between EU Countries is perfectly legal.towny44 wrote:Are not the football league banning Watford style loans from next season, little Zola will then have to work his magic on less talented UK players, good we might then get some points from them.
So ... meanwhile try taking some points from Derby instead

Re: Football
England huffed and puffed tonight against Ireland. All credit to the Irish who battled for every ball whilst England looked like they were ready for their holidays. Totally uninspiring and lacklustre in my opinion.
They will have to up their game when they play Brazil.

Roman Abramovich, the billionaire owner of Chelsea Football Club
Has he been an asset to the Premiership - or an absolute clown ?
The breaking news this morning . . . . I go for absolute clown, first class
