EU interference too far

"The UK is to be taken to the European Court of Justice over its alleged failure to correctly assess whether immigrants are entitled to benefits."

It is well known that many came to the UK because of the benefits system ... It is also well understood that government officials "incentivised" immigrants to come to the UK for political reasons. It was, in many cases, a bad mistake at the time and one that is hard to go back on ... but Britain's actions did a lot of favours for other countries in the EU.

The simple solution is that the EU is responsible for non-national benefit payments and they can reclaim these from the country of origin. Let's see if they are as keen when it is their gravy train that is being affected.

I was listening to Radio 4 this morning on this topic. It made me smile when the interviewer kept pressing the point to the interviewee what would happen if the U.K. didn't capitulate. You could feel it in the interviewee's voice --- "but we must comply. This is an E.U. regulation". Nothing had entered his world to even remotely suggest what the consequences would be if we didn't comply.
With a bit of luck Perhaps they will through us out.

No-one else in the EU ever compiies with anything so don't see why we should. Just try popping over to France and trying to claim benefits!
