Assuming Julie is back on her feet we will also be heading away later in the month ... unfortunately not a cruise, just a land based holiday to Crete.

Well, we are off on holiday in Barbados in 15 days, to celebrate (
) my birthday and getting my bus pass! I couldn't face reaching that age here, but being in Barbados will make it just about bearable.
Our new bedroom and en suite will be finished so we'll be able to move in there and in a few weeks, we'll see our son again after a whole year, when he comes home from Vietnam for the summer

As for that birthday well what a fabulous place to celebrate - and remember it's only a number

Painting and decorating a-go-go; maybe a bit of house-hunting ...... and then we're off again.

We too are in the middle of decorating our bedroom as we are having our en-suite bathroom re done. As we are currently sleeping in our son's bedroom, I'm hoping it's finished in time for his return home post Graduation at the end of the month. Steph comes home from her first year at university on Monday (where did that year go?).

Yes. We're going to the college dinner the night before, and then the ceremony itself in Durham cathedral. Really looking forward to it.Boris+ wrote:Angela - good news about the graduation. Are you going? If so, have a wonderful time.

Gill - I thought you were much too young to get a bus pass!
Have a lovely birthday - do they do a special type of cake?

I have been told they typically make special birthdays very special, but we'll see. As long as I can sit on the beach for a few days I'll be very happy.
