The Cliff Barbados - good or not?
We are looking at booking this restaurant for my birthday in a couple of weeks or so. The setting and menus look excellent. Has anyone actually dined there and if so what did you think? Is it worth the cost?

Not dined there but is on my "bucket list" but unfortunately when we have been on a cruise we have not been in Barbados overnight - and they have not been open for lunch. It is quite often used by the ship's Captains when they are swapping over in Barbados.
I bought Paul Owens (the chef there) recipe book a few years ago and if that is a sample of the meals produced in the restaurant then you will be in for a "special" meal. Incidentally Paul Owens is from Liverpool.

Not dined their ourselves but we got talking to a couple on one cruise that had been there and they said it was amazing.

I have emailed to see if they have space on "the night" so hopefully I'll be able to let you know what I think.
Thanks very much.

My husband and daughter arranged a surprise holiday for me in Barbados for my 50th birthday..
On the night of my actual birthday we sent to the Cliff, I can only say that it was awesome and one restaurant I will never forget.
The food was sublime, the setting is just so gorgeous and the whole atmosphere of the place is outstanding.
It is expensive but it was a one off, let them know it is a special occasion and they will do a little something for you.
We plan to go back one day but have lots of other places to try out first.

I am sure you are worth it, not dissimilar to any 2 or 3 star job in the UK,
