Alternatives to CPS
In the past we have always used CPS and they are excellent but they don't come cheap.
Has anybody used the Cruise Parking at Marchwood? It looks and sounds very good if you don't mind being transferred to and from the port and is a lot cheaper. I feel a bit wary about leaving my car on somebody's drive or in a hotel car park and would really like something secure. Has anybody any experience of alternatives to CPS?

Re: Alternatives to CPS
Thanks for your help, David. I was asking simply because if there is a cheaper alternative which is just as secure I may be interested. As an example, on a 14 night cruise Marchwood is £50 cheaper than CPS. I am pleased for you that you are happy with CPS but wondered if others had experience of parking elsewhere.david63 wrote:If it 'aint broke then why fix it?

Hi,
On our last cruise a couple we knew had used this previously and said the only problem was that there was a delay taking them to the ship when they arrived to park.
Cheers John

Thanks John. I think the wait may be longer on disembarkation with everybody waiting to get the shuttle and is clearly something to bear in mind. It is something I would be quite happy to contend with if I knew my car was safe and secure.

Re: Alternatives to CPS
For 14 nights Mob it's £152 CPS vs £107.50 at Marchwood. That's quite a good saving especially for anyone on a tight budget, if the car is secure and the service is good.

Re: Alternatives to CPS
Foxy, I know you have said you are wary about leaving your car on a hotel car park but we've done this many times ( depending on the length of cruise and CPS costs ) I've just priced up for 24 days with CPS and it's approx £240 + an overnight in a hotel, the Hilton have a deal which will cost £202 for B&B + parking + transport to/from the port ( although we tend to get a taxi rather than hang around waiting for other people ) they have a secure parking area at the rear of the hotel, probably not as secure as CPS but we have used it many times without a problem, another hotel we use is Botley Golf and Country Club and we're always happy leaving the car there they only provide transport to the port though and a return taxi is approx. £25 so the Hilton is usually the better deal.oldbluefox wrote:In the past we have always used CPS and they are excellent but they don't come cheap.
