Hi Graham,

We get plenty of entertainment just people watching in Southampton - especially when staying in an hotel the night before a cruise. To date we've seen memorable things like a young couple in formal evening wear at breakfast ready for embarkation, and then I'll never forget two men turned up at Ocean Terminal with their 'secretaries' in a stretched limo. There were two ships in the vicinity, one was Arcadia and the other one was much smaller and had a tad more rust.

The two females thought they were going on the beautiful gleaming sleek white Arcadia - out came the pink luggage from the limo, it was quite a pantomime, and we watched from our balcony (quite a few balconies were watching the performance). Then the females worked out they were going on the not-Arcadia ship, the limo sort of drove off slowly, and the females proceeded to bash the two blokes with the aforementioned pink luggage!!

But that man with his trick on the crane - it gave me the shivers.

See you in August.

Em :)

Greetings Shipmates from rural Darzet

James Kingston has just eloquently spoken on BBC Radio Solent, and he came over as a very nice young man

Me thinks

James has kicked our "nanny state" into touch
