Britains Got Talent
Is there not a certain irony in the fact that the winners were Hungarian?
very deserved winners but maybe Simon has got a bit of egg on his face over this (in more than one way).

Re: Britains Got Talent
I thought they were absolutely magnificent - clever choreography, original ideas and beautiful presentation. I thoroughly enjoyed their original pieces (more so than their final piece) but isn't it ironical that foreigners know how to do patriotic when we so freely avoid it. Clever move on their behalf methinks, and worthy winners of BGT.
Who on earth was the woman with the eggs? I felt sorry for the two lads although, all credit to them, they sang on.

We felt last night's show was an amazing line up and any one of at least 8 or 9 could have won. My personal favourites won though, so I'm delighted.

I thought the winners were excellent, a very interesting act, I missed the eggciting bit, left the room for a couple of minutes and when I got back they were all talking about "eggs" what happened ??

Me too Jo. Left the room for just a mo and missed it. Only heard what happened on the radio this morning. Glad the boys were in the final three but think the best act did win.Dancing Queen wrote:I thought the winners were excellent, a very interesting act, I missed the eggciting bit, left the room for a couple of minutes and when I got back they were all talking about "eggs" what happened ??

I am proud to say that apart from a quick look at the ventriloqust's performance (he was on Oceana earlier this year) I have avoided this schmalzfest this year. I would really enjoy this sort of show but cannot abide the sickening, fake sentimentality of it all.

Re: Britains Got Talent
Thanks David, how totally senseless
but also a very spiteful act especially when the two guys hadn't finished their act, I'm sure if she really felt the need to do something like this she could have timed it better.

Re: Britains Got Talent
I was a brilliant show..I missed most of the acts auditions and didn't see any of the semi-finals but thoroughly enjoyed last nights final....A real Variety Show just like what we used to have.
Anyone of the acts could have won.
I thought the 'egg incident' was a bit of a yoke.

Hungary's certainly got talent. As for the UK contingent, the youngsters gave me the feeling that good as they were, they needed a few more years to be at their best. But all of them have clearly got what it takes to make a good living in the entertainments business

Do not watch the programme but if they were Hungarian but living legally in UK I have no problem but do not think it is right for people not residing in UK entering because after all it is Britain's Got Talent not Anybody from Anywhere Got Talent.

bread and circuses for this generation, wouldn't be caught dead watching it, IMHO the lowest form of dross on TV

Re: Britains Got Talent
I didn't watch any of it this year.
I saw the egg throwing incident on the news - at first I thought it was part of an act, but quite an odd act with two guys singing and someone throwing things at the audience
Full credit to the singers though, for not being put off their stride.

Hi Gill
You certainly have an eye for talent as I couldn’t agree more with your comment.
My personal favourite was Arixandra Jezila who sang her little heart out... as did the other two young ladies.
One couldn’t help but be amazed at the way “Attraction” contorted their bodies to create such incredible imagines.
As for Judge Amanda Holden...what the hell had she had done to her face...she looked like a porcelain doll...hideous make up.

I couldn't agree more. She's usually such an attractive lady, but looked very strange indeed on that occasion.Onelife wrote:Hi Gill

The AOTH's rather enjoyed BGT.
There's not much on the TV that we watch as a family but we watched most of BGT together and for that it gets a thumbs up from me.

Re: Britains Got Talent
I agree with noddy10, although they were a brilliant act ( though I've seen better on YouTube ) they should not be allowed to enter if they do not live in Britain. Don't know if they are resident here or not, but we have enough of our own talent to choose from and it is meant to be BRITAINS got talent.
