Michael Buble at Sheffield Arena

Unread post by Wina G »

Just booked to see Michael Buble at Sheffield Arena on Friday, tickets went on sale at 9am.

He's been rehearsing at the Arena & it's a full show before he goes on tour, it's only £25 per ticket as it's being done for charity :D

We saw a Buble tribute act on Azura. Not bad, but looking forward to hearing the real thing.

Wina, I'm really pleased for you .. I love Michael Buble, when I saw your post earlier I was very tempted to try and get tickets but we're away this weekend and we've got a really early start on Saturday so I thought better of it.

Have a fabulous time

Oh and don't mention car park charges to R, it's a while since I've been to the arena but I'm sure it was about £10 last time .... Ow much !!!!!

You could of course park on Meadowhall it's only a ten minute walk from there.

By eck lass, that's a bit steep!

I've already identified some off-road parking 10-15 mins walk away where we should be able to get parked up ok....for FREE!

Last time we were there (April) it was £5. Whatever, do not be tempted to park in Centretainments, unless you eat in one of the establishments prior to the concert and leave your receipt on the dashboard. You could get landed with a ticket. We have never parked there, but we are aware it does happen.

I don't know how you will approach the Arena, but from our end (same as DQ), there is another Car Park just before the Arena, again £5.

Otherwise, Meadowhall - unless it's raining

Well I hope that Mr Buble sings live when he is in Sheffield and doesn't mime like he did on the Voice the other night.

What do you mean "IF" it's raining...this is Yorkshire. If it isn't actually raining then it's about to. :(

He was superb :D the Motorpoint Arena site said there wouldn't be any supporting act but there were and they were superb too ... there were 7 of them & they didn't have any musical instruments but sounded as if they had, the ones that sang the guitar & drums were fantastic :o

We thought we'd got some cr***y seats in the far corner from the stage but later in the show when Michael Buble came down the aisle & got up on the small circular stage (think VIP seats were in the middle of it) just near us we changed our minds ... a lot of the time everyone was standing up anyway

We got a good parking spot on a street not far away, probably 10-15 mins walk, could have got much closer but didn't want to risk losing a good place ;)

Excellent night especially for the price we paid
