I'm advised to leave it until October/November for lump sum investments. If you want to drip-feed into funds, then you'll benefit from pound-cost averaging.

The market seems to be rallying a bit, but the smart money is still on a BIG fall later this year

Well done, Ray, you're half way there, at least. Now you just have to find somewhere else to put your money to earn anything like the return you have been getting from your shares, before inflation swallows up your gain.

Mind you, if you were to buy back now, at least you would be two cruises better off and still have the same shareholdings.

I'd be interested to know what you decide/have decided

So, what is the smart money saying this year, S.S.? The market almost made a 14-year high earlier this week. Will it last?

Good question, Kaymar. Everyone seems to be bullish, which is driving up prices. 1987 saw a -40% fall in one day - the market is long overdue a correction.

The American economy is in a mess - considerthis article. They haven't issed the mandatory annual gold audit for many years. Germany has been demanding the return of its gold for some time and the Yanks keep delaying. There's a distinct possibility that the Russians and Chinese will link their currencies to gold - most other countries' currencies are back by worthless paper.
