Is it just me or does there appear to be less chatter on the site of late?

Maybe people are off on holiday! I have just seen my daughter and her family off on holiday - very traumatic! They have two children so taxi was a people carrier with two baby seats. They eventually all got in, drove about 10 yards, stopped, daughter flew out had forgotten her rings which she had taken off when washing her hands. Rings retrieved off they went. Then about three minutes later as I was checking windows closed etc. she came in through the back door in tears - had not got her phone! She thought she'd put it down when she came in for the rings but I told her she didn't have it in her hand. Eventually she was persuaded it must be in the car and they went off again. I got a text about 10 mins later saying the phone had slipped under the baby seat and that her husband wasn't talking to her! I said it was normal for a husband and wife not to be speaking when they eventually got away with two children and all the luggage, pushchair etc. heading for the airport! I shall be relieved when they have checked in. The taxi driver made them check passports before he would drive away! Oh thank goodness I don't have all that anymore.

Maybe people feel there isn't much news to talk about in the cruising world.

I think there is often a lull on any cruise forum and probably more so during July/August, the same seems to happen at Xmas/Easter as people are heading off somewhere.

We've just had a long weekend away so I haven't really looked in since last Friday, yesterday I was recovering from a very "over indulgent" few days and today I really must go and buy food so doubt I will be around until late afternoon, so almost a week without posting ( note to self ... must try harder ) sometimes it's just circumstances that prevent you joining in even though you are still keeping up to date with what is happening and reading.

We are off "down south" for a 10 day break next Thursday. Our main holiday being on Aurora for the 25 night USA & Canada cruise in September. Can't wait for that. Will be cruising with Dai and his wife Linda amongst others.

Generally, though, it always seems to get quiet in the holiday season - and especially now that we can't access the site for free on board
