Fair enough ! If they won't release the ball, give them a good shoe-ing. Just a pity Hazard was supposedly playing football, not rugby !

Fool. The boy is an hazard. Although I don't condone time-wasting, it's another form of cheating. Chelsea are a joke. What they gonna be in the news for next ?

A bit of idiocy on both parts ... fortunately it seems to have been sorted out the correct way

Re: Eden Hazard to be new youth czar!!!!
I see the ball boy, is a son of the director of the club, and written before, he believed time waisting was part of his job in these situations.
Personally I thought the Chelsea player was trying to kick the ball from underneath the ball boy.
He may have kicked the ball boy, but my god didn't the ball boy make a meal of it , don't think he was hurt anything like he made out, and it was just another bit of his time waisting antics.

Both were in the wrong but you could hardly call him a ballboy - he was 17. And look what a commotion he kicked up. Anybody would think he had been poleaxed. The problem is this happens all the time and when big money is at stake you can understand tensions rising. It does not condone the way Hazard behaved but when you see a ballboy lying on the ball to waste time (something he had boasted on Twitter he was going to do before the match) you understand the player's frustration.
Really the referee or the fourth official should make it clear that any time wasting will be punished by double time being added on at the end of the match. Maybe that would help to stamp it out.
I believe Manchester United have their own arrangements re added time!!!

Hazard has been rewarded with free membership to The Friends of Herod!!

Re: Eden Hazard to be new youth czar!!!!
I wondered if the ball youth had taken lessons from Suarez ......
Ha ha, the old chestnut of 'Fergie time' - that was dispensed with after City won the Premiership last season by scoring two goals in extra time. I don't like cheating and gamesmanship from anyone and for the ball boy to deliberately lie on the ball was beyond belief. Hazard should have made representation to the referee instead of taking matters into his own hands. But I believe that he was aiming for the ball because it came out from under the lad straight away, but I think he did catch the lad's ribs, he said as much to Hazard when when he met him afterwards.

Re: Eden Hazard to be new youth czar!!!!
It was the best bit of the whole match.......It was brilliant and a Swansea v Bradford final that's even better
Those that don't understand why Hazard was sent off don't understand the laws of the game.
Any fan knows that Ball Boys are instructed to return the ball quickly when your team is losing and to be as slow as possible when your team are narrowly winning.
I understand totally Hazard's frustration, he shouldn't have done what he did but I understand why he did it....He will receive a ban and probably a club fine.
The 17 year old Ball Boy, who was bigger than some of the players, is having the time of his life...he will be a hero to his fellow Swansea fans, he has already met the players in their dressing room and know doubt be made a a fuss of by the Swansea management.
No official complaint made, apology accepted...'nough said...move on.
By the way football clubs in Wales will no longer use the services of Ball Boys...The Welsh FA have kicked them into touch.

PTE - 'and know doubt be made a a fuss of by the Swansea management'.
Apparently his father is a director at the club. I wonder how he came to be a ball boy? Hmmmm!!

That's exactly what I heard today PTE on a radio phone in.
Likewise, apparently, the same happens when the ball is kicked out and a spectator has it in their grasp, which I also heard today on the same radio phone in and, that players actually waste time in something called, 'the corner' when they are near to full time and may be on the cusp of winning.
Sport?? Give me a good old game of rugby any day where men are men and they give their all until the very last minute.
Looking forward to the 6 nations where we will be attending 2 of the home matches.

Re: Eden Hazard to be new youth czar!!!!
I have tried several times to like Rugby...Watched it on the box and even spent me money on tickets and seen it live at Twickenham and the Stoop.....I know a lot of people get a lot of enjoyment from the game and that's great but no matter how I try I simply do not understand the game and get bored with it very quickly....Last year at Twickenham I was in a crowd of 80,000. Our seats (£10.00 a bargain) were behind the goal...Most of the first half was played up the other end to us and I didn't see the ball for about 20 minutes...what's that all about...the only way we new a team had scored was because the players started jumping about celebrating the Try.
I will watch a bit of the Six Nations on the box this year and try once again to get the hang of the game.
