Egypt
I see some cruise lines have cancelled their stops to Egypt ... and we are headed to Sharm in a few weeks.
I believe Sharm will remain fine but we had wanted to go to Cairo or Luxor which now may be out of the question?
Shame!

Re: Egypt
Coaching Tours and cruises are not being axed but their passengers are being advised that ' level 3 ' status applies, it seems they do not travel if level 4 is reached.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Re: Egypt
Flamin heck .. cruise lines pulling out, German, Irish and other government s stopping flights to Egypt ... but the British government is still saying it is safe.
We will soon enough find out in a couple of weeks when we are meant to be going to Sharm ... on one hand I want to go back there but on the other (especially with things kicking off in Syria), I don't know if I want to risk visiting an arab country (they won't care one jot how our parliament voted). Friends just back said it was fine.

Re: Egypt
I was reading something about this a few days ago and it appears that the "British" tour operators basically cannot afford to have to refund monies and have "persuaded" the FO to not make the Red Sea area a no-go area.

Re: Egypt
Sharm is well away from the trouble areas. Tourism is a major part of the local economy, they'll not want to do anything to harm their income stream. Stay on the complex if there's any doubt.
