Abu Oatada deported
I take my hat off to Theresa May for finally ridding this country of the hate preacher/scumbag Abu Qatada... It’s just a pity they didn’t send his state dependent family with him.

If only I could believe that was the end of it ... apparently he can still appeal and be returned to this country.
It is ridiculous that our legal system required over a decade and something like £1.7million of tax payers money to deal with this.

I note the Jordanians have promised not to use evidence gathered under torture against him... nothing about not torturing him....

I can't bear the idea that people like him have been laughing up their sleeves for years at this country. It's horrible. I don't condone torture though.

I've heard his children are fearful that their daddy might be tortured; thankfully Mrs Qattara has reassured them by saying he’s only gone to get his nails manicured

Out of interest does torture by Jordan involve being sung to by Katie Price ?

Slightly off topic but...
I’m afraid in some cases such as Mark Bridger’s murder of April Jones then I do think torture can be justified...preferably mental rather than physical but either way if it can put the parents out of the misery of not knowing what he did with their daughter then I think a little “behind closed doors” memory jogging can be justified.
I would even offer my services.

Isn't there some drug which would render a person incapable of lying? I'm not sure that a cold-blooded killer (have you noticed that they never show any emotion?) could be mentally or otherwise forced to give out information. To do what these killers have done means that they are not like you or me.

Hi Mo
I haven’t heard of any such drug but if one were available I’m sure it would be far more humane than what I would like to do to him.
It seems to me that they only take on that vegetated appearance when they’ve run out of options.

Re: Abu Oatada deported
This weekend I wished 3 things in particular would happen. First of all I wished that those glorious Lions would win in Australia - and they did. Then I wished that AQ would leave this country for good - and he has gone.
Finally, I just wanted Andy Murray to win - and he did.
So, on this day of glorious weather I have my wishes, the rugby people feel happy; many people feel happy because that man has been deported, and then obviously the feel-good factor has been rounded off nicely with young Mr Murray and his glorious victory.
3 out of 3 - happy bunny time.
