Liverpool Cruise Club
Has anyone used Liverpool CC, I spoke to someone there last week and found them very helpful, with prices pretty much of a muchness with all agents I'm leaning towards one that has a good website so I can browse easily and see exactly what is on offer and see the prices before making a decision and then phoning if I want to book something.
More and more agents seem to want us "to call" which is fine if you have something specific in mind but I don't particularly like calling just to enquire.

Have used Liverpool Cruise Club twice before, DQ. Each time they have been very helpful and quick at confirming details.

We use www.cruise.co.uk who have a good website. However, you will find that prices are provided via direct links the the cruise company websites. Hope this helps.

Thanks Kenmo, I was very impressed with who I spoke to so good to hear you found the service good.
Janet, I have used cruise.co for my last few cruises and have been more than happy with their service but at the moment their website leaves a lot to be desired, you click on a particular cruise and then cannot access until you provide your e-mail, then if you want live prices you have to provide all your details again and they then send you a link to enable you to access, the link works sometimes but not always, it was once a very easy site to navigate not so now which is why I'm looking for alternatives.

My wife and I booked our cruise through L.C.C. after watching their tv show. At the time of booking we knew my wife was due an eye operation but didnt know when. At the time "John & Dereck were promoting the P&O "vantage fare". Perfect for us because we could change to a later cruise if we couldnt make ours. P&O offer 2 prices. Sail away and vantage. We paid extra just incase. The worst has happened and we need to change our dates. No problem, we have vantage fare. Except nobody told us there is a £100 "admin charge" and we have to book at FULL brochure price before our due payment date.
We should have known. A Liverpool cruise con.

" A Liverpool cruise con "
It is nothing of the sort.
The Admin Fee and re-booking procedures are those of P&O, read the small print else had you asked that question on this site we would have told you exactly that.
ps ... It is Getaway rather than Sailaway but we knew what you meant.
pps ... Hello and welcome

We always use Bolsover Cruise Club and since they revamped their site there is no need to ring them to find out what their prices are (something I was never keen on). Whenever we have given them a booking we have been well looked after and if you tell them what you are looking for they will keep an eye open for you.
Daf, I am sorry to hear of your predicament but Mob is right. It is a P&O policy rather than Liverpool Cruise Club.

We have just booked with LCC but only because they had a special on Queen Elizabeth whereby you could embark or disembark at Liverpool on part of the Round Britain crusie. They have been OK although it is only today that we got our tickets for the free coach for the 31st July and the time is different from what they originally said, and from what it still says in the covering letter.
I did find when looking at their website that they seem to do shore excursions on the cruises, not sure if they are cheaper than booking direct, but I was surprised that they didn't mention it when I phoned to book the cruise, seems to be missing a trick.

Re: Liverpool Cruise Club
I've used Planet Cruise for this year's holiday. No problems other than I had to ask for a receipt for the final payment, which was emailed to me immediately. I'm a bit paranoid when £3k is cashed without acknowledgement. I'm waiting for the e-tickets now which I assume will be sent by P and O, even though Planet Cruise say they'll send them 7-10 days before departure. That's cutting it a bit fine for my liking but I suppose as long as they arrive before I leave the house it'll be OK.
Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.
