Did P&O remove the community forum??

Unread post by lulualf »

I have not been on the cruise site for a while and had been telling a friend who is due to cruise soon about setting up a blog via the p&o website which means you could update it for free without the awful internet charges. She has come over to see me and I could not find the community forum on the P&O site any more has it been closed down????

Welcome lulualf
Sorry to say it disappeared quite a while ago and there doesn't seem to be any intention of resurrecting it. This site was set up as a temporary measure until P&O restored their forum and we have now been running for the past 6 months.
The best I can tell you is to find a wifi spot at one of the ports and send your messages from there. Follow the crew - they know where the best sites are.

Although I know that I flounced off the P&O Forum because there was so much back biting going on, I did miss it, and am glad that my cyber friend from Manx told me about this one. Glad also that OBF was very kindly asking about me. It is a pity that P&O could not see the value of that Forum, especially as 'Fluffy' from Cruise Critic organised some good meetings in the Orchid Bar on J301 courtesy of Neil Oliver the CD. Some of the staff at the coal face in P&O can see how these Forums contribute to the enjoyment of a cruise with new found friends etc., and surely for that reason alone the Community page was a benefit of P&O; which has now been withdrawn.

Welcome back from another "Manxie", Frank - we have missed your calm, courteous, informative contributions.

Still the occasional aggressive, opinionated member on here, I'm afraid, but only a tiny minority and certainly nothing you can't comfortably handle.

Without knowing the details of who you are referring to it is impossible to answer - but to the best of my knowledge only banned members cannot post.

I would suggest that any member who has a problem accessing the site uses the link on the "home" page to contact the Admin team with details of the problem and it will be investigated.

The moderation on here is suffocating, biased and unfair.

Degsy, it is a tad harsh, I'll give you that :D However, as you complained to admin on the old site when I referred to your hat boxes as poncey (which they are) I don't see what you have to moan about.
