Jacob Rees-Mogg
Just another example of Tory Politicians putting their foot in it.
Any comments , I know most of this board are Tories, but surely you cannot agree with this.

Doesn't surprise me at all - whenever I have seen him being interviewed he has come across, to me, as an upper class twit who is totally out of touch with the real world.

Surprising that this clearly intelligent young man had not checked out this odious group before accepting an invitation.
The comments about Doreen Lawrence by this collection of objects masqurading as human beings was a disgrace
His name by the way is Jacob Rees-MOGG

Dear Mr Kane, apologies, it was a typing error. The Monocled Mutineer wrote:Surprising that this clearly intelligent young man had not checked out this odious group before accepting an invitation.

Obviously not intelligent enough to check the facts.
Perhaps he was paid well for it.

Yes, but that is UKIP, so unacceptable on this board, whilst Rees-Mogg being a Tory, well look at the lack of responses.HK phooey wrote:Makes the UKIP chap's bongo bongo land comment look pretty tame in comaprison.
Being a Tory on this forum is next to being God

Re: Jacob Rees-Mogg
In fairness, after he received the warning "He asked Conservative party headquarters for information on the group. At 6pm, an hour before the dinner was due to start, he rang Mr Lauder-Frost, who insisted his organisation had no ‘links’ to any other group."
He obviously made some effort to check it out - clearly not enough - and he accepted Lauder-Frost response in good faith. That L-F was somewhat disingenuous is another matter....
And, no, I am not a Conservative supporter, not since Call Me Dave carried on the fine Labour tradition of destroying this once-great country.

It seems a bit of a non-story to me. I'm sure there must be more significant problems.

If I thought this thread was about the action then it may be worth a considered thought ... but the primary reason for the thread is political bigotry.
Overall it is a non-story over someone not doing their homework properly, having admitted to it and apologised for it ... similar events have happened to political leaders of every political party.

Quite so - I'm sure we've all done things that, in retrospect, we should not have. I know I have.HK phooey wrote:Don't be a spoilsport Ken, some of us like a chuckle when a chinless wonder makes a balls up

Well, there was that comment I made to Mo a few weeks ago, for which she graciously forgave me.

Re: Jacob Rees-Mogg
Too many people thinking it's Roland Rat from C4. I had forgotten about that "thing" when I uploaded Remi from Ratatouile. As I am often associating with HK, DK and Cubie on LOTP, I mistakenly felt it was time to join the Tat, the Bat and the Cat!! Can't get it right all the time...jay-ell71 wrote:What's happened to your avatar SS???
