My younger daughter sat and passed a bursary exam for her chosen university: So no stress awaiting her A level results - and she knew by April that she definitely had a place, so we could plan accommodation etc. The bursary award (in the form of credit in the university bookshop) came in handy too!Kendhni wrote:The only person i know doing A levels this year managed to get straight 'A's .... Well done

How life has changed, I left my school at 15 years old, with NO qualification, NO money, but I did have the joy of my own transport . . . . a bicycle
Cycled 10 miles to Dorchester and was interviewed by a panel of Trustees for a charity set up by a benefactor for young men, just like me being schooled during the dark days of WW2
Not to bore my only reader to distraction - I gained an Indentured Apprenticeship for six years as a Compositor
Well it must have gone well because our Dear Mr Kane now helps finance my generous Company pension

If she does and you ever visit, there are a few of us I am sure, that could meet up with you. It wouldn't be the first CC meeting on Land
