I won a holiday

Unread post by Sarah62+ »

Am still in shock, but on Thursday I was on Magic Radio and won a 3 grand James Villa Holiday in the Greek Islands. Only had to answer a simple question - when was the Athens Olympics held in this Millenium.

Really can't believe it, but having fun looking through the online brochure and trying to decide where to stay.

First time I have ever won anything - apart from raffle prizes!!!

Congratulations on your win - come to "wet and windy" Wales if you want some sunshine - it's been sunny here for the last few days

Congratulations on your win.

I'd have to agree with Jan, it's been lovely here for several days and today is absolutely glorious.

Gosh I'd be shocked too. Although as I don't enter competitions it's no surprise I don't win
Congratulations :!:
The weather is lovely on this island too at the moment :D

Thank you all, the answer was 2004. Glad to hear Wales is having good weather, although the sun is trying to come out here in South Croydon!!!

That's great, Sarah. I enter the Sunday Times 'Where was I?' competition most weeks, but have never won. I once won a family ticket to American Adventure World in a draw in our local paper, and another time I won a family day out in London through a TV magazine competition. It was exciting to win those, so I can only imagine how excited you must be to win such a fabulous prize. Enjoy the anticipation, and the holday.

Congratulations Sarah. Choose wisely and enjoy.

As the saying goes, 'you've got to be in it to win it'.

You are right Stephen, the amount of people that say ' I never win', but don't enter....

Crete is looking favourable for a 2 week holiday right now.

Sarah, I can certainly recommend Crete ... we had a fantastic time there in June. We stayed in the Vasia Beach in Sissi which was a quiet village with a lot of restaurants and bars but not the dooph-dooph night life (you had to go to Malia for that .. about 10-15 minutes by taxi).

Never been, but Santorini would be one of my choices, Don't know if James Villas have any properties there.

At the end of the day it all depends what you want from a holiday. As Ken said, boom boom (not bazil Brush :)) or chill out.

They don't appear to have any in Santorini, but apparently it is quite windy and pretty steep too. For a two week holiday we need things to do and see, and Crete seems to fit the criteria. Can't do anything until James Villa send me my voucher. I have now received the confirmation letter from Magic Radio now - so it is true!!!

I can confirm that Sissi is lovely but if I had a choice I would go for the south coast. I don't think there are any of the mass-market companies who go there now though. The south has sand (tends to be rocky on the north coast). I'm sure you'll enjoy it wherever you go
