Thanks David I'm presuming that security like McAfee protects you from these viruses.

I deleted the Topic because it was ' unsafe ' and could have resulted in an ' infection ' for anybody running a computer without suitable Internet Software, the issue was Spyware and Tracker Cookies.emjay45 wrote:HK phooey wrote:Is it because your youtube clip was removed Degsy, I had to lie down in a dark room for 48 hours after watching thatI didn't realise it had been removed. Can I ask why? or will I get my collar felt. Like QB I don't think I've been moderated.
The OP was notified but did not respond.

I felt no need to reply. I take no interest in all this virus, cookies and other euphueisms for all this nerdy computer stuff.
My previous reply was referring to uncalled interfence in one of my replies which has left a now edited / censored reply which would imply that I believe in a relgion.
Replies should not be interfered with unless they are genuinely offensive.

Derek ... you had no need to respond but it would, in my opinion, have been courteous to do so.The Monocled Mutineer wrote:Manoverboard:

As for uncalled for interference to your postings may I respectfully suggest that you take time to read the T&Cs of this site as failure to do so will doubtless result in further editing.

For the security of your own machine and, more importantly, the security of everybody else's machines perhaps you should. Nobody takes pleasure from having their machines infected with viruses which cause running problems and, in some cases cost money to repair.

The part of your post which was edited was offensive. If you felt the edited version implied your belief in religion, as you say, a quick PM could have seen the problem rectified. Let me know if you still wish the post to be edited further. OBF

Re: Did P&O remove the community forum??
Thank you for your welcome back messages. Thanks especially to Emjay45 and OBF.
On a positive note, half of me was whinging about P&O, cutbacks, and fare pricing, until yesterday I restarted editing my J301 video footage, and remembered what a good time we had throughout.
This site is actually better than the old P&O Community page so well done everyone concerned.
Off to Wimborne now to see if we can buy some tickets to 'Summer in February' at the Tivoli, and offer condolences to gfw.

I thought that DtM was referring to a software bug, and had a bit of finger trouble. Now it seems perhaps he was actually insulting me,
any more of this and I shall flounce and throw my toys out of my pram
Have to tell you, I fell asleep in the Arcadia's theatre in the middle of a cabaret act, and woke up with a start to find the performer standing next to me
I think my reaction caused more amusement than the act.

Don't worry Den we'll all know what you meanDennis The Menace wrote:So just to clarify, am I not allowed to say bug*er without an asterisk in it ?
When I e-mail people I will often use ** if using a naughty word or $$, && or ## ( not that I consider bugger to be naughty unless used in a certain context )

Graham was fine. He was really moved by the Sympathy card which many of you sent him, addressed to the Tivoli. We will probably go over to see him again, its no problem for us.
DQ...we men dont do 'man hugs' much.

Yes DQ, I would, but sensibly, gfw keeps a high desk between him and the punters.
Actually I do man and lady hugs, but strictly shoulder to shoulder, I dont want to be classified as a 'closet lech'.
Or get my ears boxed by my better half

Re: Did P&O remove the community forum??
Service was excellent Graham, as always in our experience. I didn't tell you that Sue really wants to see 'Summer in February', because her Dad and Grand parents were in the service of Sir Alfred Munnings at Dedham, and are metioned a few times in his autobiography. They are used as models for the stable lads in his painting 'The red prince mare'. Ah, what it is to have family history....mine were smugglers at Chale on the Isle of Wight.

P&O closed it down due to some of us posting comments abut doing your own thing in various ports of call instead of using the P&O tours. We also 'dared' to question why they were changing itineraries and ports. They used the excuse that some of the posts were 'unsavoury' but I can tell you nobody was offended as I asked many on our cruise!

It was reportedly down to performance issues and possibly also due to their inability to manage the spats that put P&O in a bad light from time to time although they were aiming to do something about that aspect just prior to its demise.
An inefficient system, too many overheads and a need to cut costs more like .... imo.
