wine Packages
Has anyone out there pre-booked a wine package for a cruise?
If pre booked did you receive your peninsular discount as you need to pay when you pre-book or at least you do now.
If you book on board and it goes to your on board account do you receive your peninsular club discount?
Following a discussion with P and O today you need to pay up front and you do not get your peninsular club discount.
For info
The prices on the P and o Page are different , i.e. lower, than actual prices available at least in part.
regards

Re: wine Packages
We booked a wine package for our last cruise in May. Had to pay up front and did not get Peninsual Club discount. I didn't ask whether you can order the wine packages on board so I don't know whether or not Peninsula Club discount would be applied.

Why don't you get peninsular discount on a wine package, you get it if you buy by the bottle or glass?Capt Black wrote:We booked a wine package for our last cruise in May. Re: wine Packages
You do get Peninsular discount on all wine packages at your prevailing rate when you order them on board

Re: wine Packages
I see that pre-ordered wine packages ordered via the Cruise Personilaer have the Peninsular discount deducted.

Re: wine Packages
Had that option been available earlier this year I would have used it. Can't say that I've seen it on Cruise Personaliser for our next jaunt. Will have another look later today. Thanks for the tip.

Re: wine Packages
Personally I would only buy the packages that allow me to make the selections rather than P&O.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Re: wine Packages
that is probably our choice. the issue is the pc discount.
I cannot find on the c person.......r how to purchase wine package only options , which in some cases are incorrect, and a number to call.
me thinks I will purchase on board

Re: wine Packages
Suddenly the wine packages don't seem such good value, we have always bought them in the past and it worked out that we got one free. On our last crusie we noticed they had added more to the captains collection but don't sell alot of these on board so you don't know how much they actually are.
Having worked it out, and knowing the wines we do like, it will work out cheaper to buy it by the bottle next time. You do get penisular discount on all the packages.
