Cruise card holders - best ideas?

Unread post by Boris+ »

I wish to give something suitable as cruise card holders as 'welcome aboard' gifts to some friends. I'm thinking of some nice Radley ones for the ladies, but any other ideas - or indeed nice ones for the gentlemen?

Thanks

Em :D

Cannot help Em - mine just goes into my pocket, so much easier than constantly fiddling around to get it out of a holder.

Depends on how much you want to spend.

Hey Jo,

I like that, MUCHLY - I'm going to put it on my letter to santa for later in the year!!!! :D

However, still need to keep looking - preferably sort of neutral colours so as not to offend people; but many thanks indeed for the thought!

Em :)

I'm with David, pocket works for me. But then it's probably not me you're planning to buy a present for! ;)

I always find a nice bottle of Malt Whisky is an acceptable gift. With or without pockets. :D

The simplest solution I have seen is to punch a hole in one corner and then use a neck lanyard. Not very helpful for you, sorry.

A friend of ours bought a Tiffany one for a friend of theirs and they are very nice but I wasn't really being serious ( well not for a welcome aboard gift but what a nice thought ) JL, M&S or Debenhams might have something.

Hi Jo,

I'll hit the shops tomorrow then! Seriously though I do like the one which came up on the link you kindly posted, and I shall drop a hint to santa!

I thought that I could do flowers or a wine package or something, but I think that family might do that, and also I would like to give something which they can use again.

Em :)

Jo........Thank goodness for that. I was going to write "You are Joking" but obviously you are!!!

I have a brightly coloured embroidered purse thingy on a cord which I can hang round my neck. I bought it in one of those Central American craft markets. It has been excellent; being brightly coloured it is difficult to misplace in the bottom of the beach bag.

Well, I'm not joking - letter to Santa has been started!

Anyway, back to the card holders - we usually stick our cruise card holders in our jeans back pockets, or sometimes himself will use the top pocket on a shirt. I like to use card holders because then the cards don't 'aggravate' or 'wear' fabric. When we go ashore we've got nice wallet ones with chains, so that they are firmly attached to our camera bags.

However, it's all sorted now, I've managed to get a plain black leather one for the gentleman, and a nice Radley one for the lady.

Huge thanks for help and advice.

Em :)
