Just settling down to watch the Public Accounts Committee - love to see Margaret Hodge in action - she is quite intimidating - love to see her make people squirm

What a high profile group she has before her today - the HR lady can look forward to a grilling I think after admitting she did draft that memo The pay offs were indecent to say the least

Anyone else out there fascinated by these live broadcasts and why oh why don't they answer the questions

Quite honestly I cannot stand the woman.

She comes across to me as being totally out of touch with the "real world" and tries to make out that everyone else is in the wrong and she is always right.

Margaret Hodge should come clean about the tax affairs of her family company. Talk about hypocritical

Jan, I too was rivited to my seat this P.M. To watch all these so called managers squirm was a breath of fresh air. All blaming each other. Only one (the HR person) admitting that she "misled" the committee.
But at the end of it all - everyone of them will go unpunished. They will all continue to receive their perks, super salaries, super expenses and golden goodbyes.
As far as Margaret Hodge is concerned although she is a multi-millionaire in her own right -she still cannot explain what Capital Gains Tax is.
Other than that she makes an excellent chair person.
