I had a quadruple bypass last year and ended up with Staysure. I wanted worldwide, annual multi-trip and it cost just over £400 for the two of us. All the others would only quote or single trip.

Hi Ray, my husband has a heart related pre-existing so I am always interested in who people insure with, this is a list that I have collated over the last couple of years from what other members have recommended.

We are using Saga at the moment but in the past have used Staysure and Getmy.com, none of them have been cheap but unfortunately with any heart condition it won't be for the Caribbean/US.

Staysure.co.UK
Allcleartravel.co.UK
Free-spirit.com
Travelbility.co.UK
Travelinsured.co.UK ( Incorporates Manor Insurance)
Getmy.com
Globelink.co.UK
Karmaininsurance.com
Miaonline.co.UK
Columbusdirect.co.UK
Deltainsurance.co.UK
Intunegroup.co.UK
Travelinsurancemedical.co.UK

Avista is another one that has been mentioned recently and I got a very reasonable quote from them for worldwide incl US.

Ray

We have previously insured with Staysure (with heart related condition) but last year we insured with AgeUK (formerly Age Concern) and they were much cheaper - Approx £160 for annual European Insurance for the two of us.

That's the one I meant David .. I hadn't added it to my list and didn't check what I had written down before posting

Depends on what you call "high" - if it is in three figures then it is low

In that case try:
Insurance Choice
Coversure - this is a franchise and your local office is Farnworth

I have found that both of these can give a quote when many others cannot/will not
