I have an iPlayer radio app on my iPad, and often listen to music on the radio when I go to bed, just plug in my headphones to the iPad.

Hey Ho Giant member
I listen to Radio 2 up till lunch time, then swap to radio 4, then back to radio 2
I spend a lot of time driving , so the radio is great for me
Don't listen to the Archers, coz as a city boy, I don't understand all this countryside stuff
hope you are keeping well my engorged friend

Hello GFW hope you are well. I love Manx radio. especially the phone in programmes, I love the 'moans'.
Tonight I will listen to 'Fifties on a Friday' where they play music from that era. My OH also loves the Archers ,I must admit I'm more of a 'Corrie' fan.

Hi Graham,
Sue listens to Radio Solent as often as she can, and I used to like Friday Night is Music Night on Radio 2, but we play bridge on Fridays nowadays.
Sometimes we listen to Classic FM.

Hello Graham - hope you are well lubberly man
I always have the radio on in the car and in the house - can't stand the silence - Radio 2 usually - I like Ken Bruce in the morning especially the Pop Master quiz and in the evening Simon Mayo's Confessions slot has me laughing out loud
Now the older members on here will remember when radio was practically the only entertainment and I recall spending Sunday evenings with my then to be husband at his family's house playing cards and listening to "Sing something simple"
I shall probably be humming that tune now all day

Perhaps we'll try Ken Bruce in the mornings Jan. Many years ago I used to listen to him on Radio Scotland and he was really good, as funny as Terry Wogan.
We / I am, a bit fed up with the Julian Clegg morning show on Solent these days, it is too predictable, and deals with topics in a provocative way e.g. are all older drivers dangerous and should be banned (?) was one, not so long ago. I had to switch it off for the sake of my blood pressure
Sing something simple was a good programme, usually Sue goes around the house turning the radios on and I go around behind her turning them off or down.

Re: I am an avid Cats Whiskers sado . . .
I will confess we are Archers listeners - have been for many years. We tend to have supper while listening to it - assuming we are in of course. We've been getting a bit annoyed with the latest storylines - the new scriptwriter (editor? not sure which) has come from East Enders and has certainly changed a few things. I tend to listen to Radio 5live some of the day - on occasions Radio 2 or 4. If I can't sleep or wake up early I will listen to Radio 5 or on occasions Radio 4 Extra (not the Archers though- really don't like the Extra Archers).
When we go down to Dorset some weekends we tend to listen to The Archers followed by Desmond Carrington on Radio 2 - makes us sound very ancient - but we're not that old!
