Whoops, perhaps a Sunday night wasn't the best time for a party - one glass of bubbly and I was snoozing in the corner if that rather comfortable sofa!!

Thanks to whoever it was that did the clearing up last night!!

I cook, be the hostess.. company goes. I go to bed.

Alex gets up next morning, does ALL the clearing up, then brings me a coffee and tells me its safe to get up.
By the time, Im showered and venture downstairs all I see are tidy lounges, spotless kitchen and scented candles burning.

37 years of marriage have have trained him well.

So basically Admiral of the Humber you were too pi**ed to deal with it before going to bed and couldn't stomach it the following morning. Serves you right.

Actually, the secret to get out of clearing up is to 'accidentally' knock an empty glass over and stagger a bit, if your not already. The good lady then says 'you go to bed dear, I'll clear up'.......who am I to argue with her that must be obeyed ;-)

Her training is almost complete. A bit of tweaking required here and there still, but on the whole it's passable.
