Not a great fan of Alistair Campbell, however his definition of the Mail on last evenings Newsnight, is in my opinion a very accurate description of this insidious newspaper.

I'm with Ray on this one. I know it will upset many avid readers of The Daily Mail, including my own brother, but I think it is a joke. Whatever the rights or wrongs of Milliband and of his father, I always take the Daily Mail cntent as if it was the Beano or The Dandy. Their writers would sit well with some of those lunatic right wing Republicans in the USA.

When it comes to write-ups about our Politicians, or those from the USA, there is no better read as far as I am concerned than the Beano, the Dandy or indeed the Dail Mail. The Daily Mail does at least have a decent cartoon or two plus crosswords / puzzles for Mobietta to pass a few hours during the afternoon period.

If any of you are reading the Times etc to get the truth about their thinkiing, beliefs and/or honest intentions and opinions etc then forget it you are living in a dream world.

Very true: but they are not alone in telling you what the 'news' is - and then telling you what you should think about it.
The Mirror used to/may still be just as bad. The only difference being that their allegiances are to the opposite end of the political spectrum.

Nick Clegg said he was not a regular reader of the Mail, but "when I do, it seems to be overflowing with bile about modern Britain - talk about kettles and pots".

Education Secretary Michael Gove said a free press was "raucous" and would hold politicians to account and "by definition, will sometimes offend". BUT HIS WIFE IS A MAIL COLUMNIST

But they are not all as rabid as the Daily Mail. Yes I agree the Mirror is hardly any better.
