Mine was very simple, P&O was the first forum I ever joined and I was sat trying to think of a suitable screen name, I am a big Abba fan and was listening to a cd at the time .. Dancing Queen was playing and as it is one of my favourite songs I thought that has to be the one

How did you choose your Screen Name
Following on from "is your username on here different to what it was on P&O" I have just read LynP's reply and the reason she chose hers, so how did you choose yours.

Ever since the day I started school, I've been known as Keechy. My wife also became Keechy on the day we married.

Re: How did you choose your Screen Name
My solicitor had several clients called "John" I was known for the dogs so he called me John the dog...I had to replace the O in dog with a 0 to join TripAdvisor so it has been spelt that way ever since or the normal way if allowed.

Iv been spud since I was 7.
When I first came online and needed a user name (19 years ago) I used it then and used it ever since. Whatever forum I register for.
I also still use the first email address I registered with over 19 years ago.
I am suespud now because this site needed a longer name.

Because that is my name and how I am known to members of my family, when Lorraine brings me my cup of tea in the morning in bed, she always says here's your tea Delboy.
I was Delboy long before Mr Jason, I always say I was the original Delboy.

Re: How did you choose your Screen Name
It reminds me of a time when a friend of mine was going into the Army camp. A young soldier walked forward to check her ID. He looked at it and said, "Oh, you've got the same name as me." She replied, "That's nice. Is your name Diane as well!!" to much hilasrity to the other guards on the gate. Poor soul!!
Mine comes from my lifelong affiliation to Leicester City who play in blue and are nicknamed The Foxes. The other bit I'll leave to your imagination.

In the RAF, the material used to cover office chair cushions reacted with the material used for uniform trousers to polish the rear end of administrators, giving rise to the nickname "Shiney".

I fell for the same trick and started off way back with ' Ma Noverboard ' as a joint userid, Mobietta however decided not to post and following a couple of misunderstandings I switchedincawat wrote:Romig, once again I left myself wide open, when we joined the P&O forum my OH was going to contribute .Never has.Ian

My name is 'Ken' and I used 'Ken' on the P&O board but had to make my id 6 long on this board ... so I added some letters 'dhni' ... they may look random but actually are meaningful.

Re: How did you choose your Screen Name
My name is Gillian and my surname begins with W
I have a couple of other screen names that I use on various forums, but when I joined the P & O forum I had the impression it was somehow not approved of to 'hide behind an alias'. So I called myself by my real name, but it's the only forum that I have the name Gill W.
I carried on using it on this forum, as it use seemed easier to carry on with this identity
