Re: What has made your day . . . .
Two things happened today that made it a great day
I went to our local church to hear my Grand Daughter read a poem at there harvest festival along with the school choir singing there
little hearts out made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up then the very little ones tell us about there present to children in Kenya a load of pens and pencils
for local schools
The biggest laugh came from the Rev Sally the church had raised some money and where donating new underwear for the schools the children thought that was hilarious
The second thing a letter from the Pru to tell me they had found an old policy that i must have lost fingers crossed might be worth a few bob

A story on Premier Radio. The speaker was talking about finding God, and had asked some children where they thought they could find Him. One little boy answered "Our bathroom", so naturally the speaker asked why.
The boy replied: "Well, most mornings daddy will bang on the bathroom door and call out: "Good Lord - are you still in there?"

I got a bit ahead of myself and starting looking at car seats - found an outrageous price for the one we liked, then found a more reasonable price for the same item in JL. Went to JL and the sales girl was a real snotty snob!
When we got home we found exactly the same item brand-new on the internet, and it was half the original figure - so we ordered it, and the result was we would have to wait. Today we went to see if we could 'have a look' at one 'in the flesh' - in the place where the item was due to be delivered (next week).
There wasn't one on display, so we made enquiries - and hey presto whilst we were asking there was a delivery to the store ...... yip it was OUR item!
It was a bit of a surprise - but a really nice one.
