Re: Pet Hates
Oldbluefox - you don't like middle lane hoggers - but what if the inside lane is lorry lorry lorry, why do people keep bobbing in and out of the inside lane to pass one lorry, go back to the inside lane, then have to come out again to pass another vehicle, drives me mad, if you can see the inside lane is quite busy and you are gaining on traffic in the inside lane, then surely it is better to stay in the inside lane, doing the speed limit than bobbing in and out of the inside lane? The trouble is people pass their tests but they have not learned to drive on a motorway. I don't like it when folk come storming on to a motorway going as fast as they can but they can see that all three lanes are chocobloc - where you going mate? ? and why you going that fast ?

Hi Mo
I don't think I was talking about bobbing in and out but if the inside lane is clear, especially if you have traffic behind you, you should return to the inside lane. How many times do you get somebody in the middle lane, an empty inside lane except for a lorry or a caravan somewhere in the distance. Meanwhile on a busy motorway the traffic builds up behind Middle Lane Man/Woman and into Outside lane?
Notice how much better the traffic flows when people do use the lanes properly. I think part of the problem is drivers who are scared stiff of getting trapped in the inside lane so they decide if they do 70mph they are entitled to sit in the middle lane no matter what. That is not what the Highway Code says.

Oldbluefox, yes you're right, I don't think people like to think of getting 'trapped' in the inside lane. Once my sister was sandwiched between two lorries and she found it pretty scary.

I don't like parents who let their children run about in a restaurant.

Irresponsible dog owners who have no control over their dogs.
Stupid dog owners who come out with the phrase ... she /he will do it at home...but not when they’re out????
Dog owners who allow their dogs to “pull on the lead”..... Just because they haven’t bothered to teach their dogs how to walk to heel.
Dog owners who don’t pick up the mess... (Especially in public areas)
Breeders who have turned dog breeding into a freak show.

Re: Pet Hates
On one street this morning I saw three separate piles of dog poo. Grrrr.
I too don't like owners who let their dogs pull on their lead. Walking through my churchyard, a woman let her dog off the lead and it immediately bounded up to me paws all over my coat (it was a wet day) I actually told her to control her animal. Had my grandchildren been with me the creature would have knocked them down. Dog lovers think that everyone loves their dog. They don't.

I wonder at the reasoning behind those who pick up what their dog leaves but then hang the bag on a bush or fence....I want to know what they think will happen to it??Onelife wrote:Irresponsible dog owners who have no control over their dogs.

I must agree about some breeds having exaggerated points.

Re: Pet Hates
The difference is that other people's children don't do what uncontrolled/untrained dogs do. My brother was a binman, woman says about the barking dogs, don't worry, they won't hurt you, he goes down the path to get the bin (this was years ago) and one of the bit him, right through his thick gloves. Had to have a tetanus injection and his arm swelled right up. She was told she had to bring her bin out herself after that. Don't think I've heard of a child biting an adult and them having to have a tetanus injection .....

Hi JTD
“I wonder at the reasoning behind those who pick up what their dog leaves but then hang the bag on a bush or fence....I want to know what they think will happen to it??”
I must admit this is something I've done but only when there are no dog bins available...saves carrying it around until you can pick it up on your way back.

Mothers who allow their children sat in supermarket trolleys to open ( or give them ) purchases before they have been purchased also mothers who allow their children to stand in trolleys not only is it dangerous I might be the next person to use that trolley and I don't want my shopping where some childs dirty shoes might have been.

I suppose yes, some leave it to pick up later, but some just leave it there.Onelife wrote:Hi JTD

How about litter in general ..just chucking stuff out of car windows or putting the takeaway bag neatly out the car door & driving off?

Ohhh I must admit to being guilty of giving a grandchild a banana (already priced) before buying them or a fruit shoot whilst sitting in the trolly seat !!!Dancing Queen wrote:Mothers who allow their children sat in supermarket trolleys to open ( or give them ) purchases before they have been purchased also mothers who allow their children to stand in trolleys not only is it dangerous I might be the next person to use that trolley and I don't want my shopping where some childs dirty shoes might have been.
