EDUCATING YORKSHIRE

Unread post by Admiral of the Humber »

Dear Forumeers,

The AOTH clan have been watching this programme religiously. Last nights episode, when a lovely Asian lad with a horrible stutter overcame his impediment to gain a GCSE in English, thanks to his own desire and the efforts of a wonderfully dedicated teacher, reduced all three of us to tears.

Regards
Rob aka AOTH

It was indeed a very touching moment. There were cheers and 'whoo hoos' in our house.

There's value in these sorts of programmes way beyond the obvious.

Dear David,

And isn't your response in violation of the T&C's of this wonderful forum? Shame on you. ;)

Admiral, I watched one episode of Educating Essex, it was the school just down the road from our old house and was so ashamed that I couldn't face another one. I'd never seen so many orange chavs in one place before :D

A little too late for some I would say Soiled Nightie.

HK, there were a lot of excessive make up disasters but it was wonderful to see the cheerful way the Year Heads cleaned it off the offenders who generally accepted their fate in a "fair cop" sort of way.

Evening all

So, in order that I may complete my investigations, Sir, could you please tell me exactly what this program is all about ?
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
