I drove past a group of nursery children yesterday being led by their carers, every child dressed like death. This is commercialism imported from the USA, the shops want a bonus prior to Christmas and parents unthinkingly are paying.
Would it not be better to focus children's minds on something good?

I'm afraid I really don't like it. I don't get it that random children and teenagers who haven't a clue who I am are encouraged to demand sweets, money etc by knocking on my door. I didn't used to mind it when I lived on an estate and neighbours would ask beforehand if their children could call. It was fun actually because I used to get our little dog to do tricks for them and they loved it. Since living here I've always given in and bought sweets for them but I'd no idea who any of them were !. Last night though I had to go out just before 6 and didn't get home until 8.30. Husband had just flown home from Dubai and needed to sleep so I did put an apologetic notice on the door that we didn't want trick or treat visitors - not fair for him to be sleeping but being disturbed by the door knocking and the dog barking !. Seems the notice was respected which I thought was really kind.

I think a Tazar has the same result ;)

How nice was this

Next door neighbours had a big Halloween whatsit

Pre warned me that it could a little noisy and delivered me an exquisite plated dish of devious succulent sweet meats

Well enjoyed with the Giant and his Ferrets

Life is good here in rural Darzet

Luboo all
