Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
I think the judges are out to get rachel Riley off the show. I cant believe that her dance warranted lower marks than Mark Benton's abbreviated waltz, or Deborahs dance. It was a travesty. They either dont like her at BBC SCD, or they dont like Pasha.

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
I've recorded it as usual and won't have chance to watch it or tonight's show until next week. So I'm going to have to keep my eyes and ears shut or I'm going to find out who goes before I've even watched last night's show.

Don’t worry Frank; Rachel will be gracing our screens for a few more weeks yet...especially so if you like me, and every other red blooded male voted for her...my only criticism of Rachel is that she needs to loosen up a little as she tends to look a little stiff..... Whilst accepting this may have something to do with those luscious legs of hersFrank Manning wrote:I think the judges are out to get rachel Riley off the show. Nice girls rule OK, and I think she must be very nice. Her husband is top drawer too, so it seems. Sue and I felt so sorry for her last night that we gave her a few votes.Onelife wrote:Don’t worry Frank; Rachel will be gracing our screens for a few more weeks yet...especially so if you like me, and every other red blooded male voted for her...my only criticism of Rachel is that she needs to loosen up a little as she tends to look a little stiff..... Well Deborah has gone. I felt sorry for her, she loved it so. Not tears from her but tears from Robin!!
Time the two dummies went.. Mark and Dave, entertaining but not dancing.

I think you are right DQ. Claudia is definitely a contender for the worst dressed woman on TV. She has a terrific personality though so can forgive her lack of style.

Not you. She looked dreadful. What an odd dress.Dancing Queen wrote:Is it me or is Claudia Winkleman one of the worst dressed women on TV
Tess was pretty top heavy, (!) not an attractive dress for her either. Can't understand it, Jo, how can they get it so wrong.

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
As soon as Claudia came on we said the same thing. The dress looked at least 2 sizes too big for her.
Such a shame that with all the stylists around for the show she comes out looking like 'a sack of spuds.'
So pleased Deborah went but Robin crying what was all that about?
Halloween special next week that should be fun, must remember to record it as we are away next weekend.

We both thought the same. Claudia looked as though she was wearing a tent, and Tess looked top heavy.jay-ell71 wrote:Not you. She looked dreadful. What an odd dress.Dancing Queen wrote:Is it me or is Claudia Winkleman one of the worst dressed women on TV

Robin cried because he is a sensitive chap, and because Deborah was as ever, being nice to him. Dave and Mark must go soon. Much as I like the hairy bikers, Dave has overdone the crazy antics now, and Marks waltz had little dance content. Len is right, lets get rid of some of the silly props and get them dancing.
Aliona still looks great in the show dances.

Typical public voting. As usual, haven't got a clue.

Do you think those girls got the dresses mixed up? Tess' was clearly too tight, and Claudia's was two sizes too big.

Claudia's dress looked remarkably like a sack! I find her amazingly annoying. I rather liked Tess's dress though it could have had an extra inch of fabric! I find her annoying too, though somewhat less so.

Oh dear - what on earth was Claudia wearing - it looked like an oversized shirt
Have to agree about Tess lookng top heavy. I wish she would stand upright.
Blimey - we're all perfect, of course

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
I commented to Andrew about Claudia's dress - she never has great dress sense, but last night's was noteworthily bad. It reminded me of the shapeless crimplene dresses my nan used to make for me in the late 60s / early 70s (which I hated, but my Mum made me wear
). I wondered if she has anorexia or something - to cover up like that she clearly has a bad body image ... so I hope she's OK. I used to think she was brilliant on 'It takes two', but I agree she's just irritating on a Sunday night. Tess usually looks great, but I too thought her dress was less than flattering. You would have thought they would get advice from the wardrobe department, but maybe not. I'd happily go on as a fashion consultant in exchange for free tickets to the show and a small fee

I did hear a rumour that Claudia is pregnant so this might explain her shapeless and dowdy dresses. Thought that maternity wear of that type had been phrased out though. Tess was a model so you would have thought she would have had more sense to wear a dress that she did.

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
I thought Tess' dress was lovely last night.
I also think it's time for Hairy Dave to go. He's getting rather irritating and not really amusing - and he can't dance. Abbey Clancy was stunning again but there were quite a few good performances last night.
I wish they would do away with those silly little scenarios just before they dance. I would much rather see how they are doing in practice without it all being stage managed.
Wob - I don't understand the voting at all. Very unpredictable.

I gave Rachel Riley a vote. But Mark Benton was awful and I like him, but he is almost as bad as Dave.

Voting has nothing whatsoever to do with dancing - that is if the votes are even taken into consideration.oldbluefox wrote:Wob - I don't understand the voting at all. Very unpredictable.
This is a popularity contest, always has been and probably always will be, first and foremost and who is in the dance off, and goes, is all down to how much publicity it will generate to improve the viewing figures.
Looks like that was a wasted voteFrank Manning wrote:I gave Rachel Riley a vote.

That's exactly what I think about Claudia. Why don't they put a bit of colour in her cheeks.Stephen wrote:I always think Claudia must love this time of year (Halloween).
Natalie is still my favourite she really can dance. I like the Hairy Bikers but Dave really cannot dance and he should have gone.
