Come to think of it Romig I think it does..................... but don't tell Mob!!

I haven't seen hide nor hair of him since the match - he's gone to ground but no doubt he'll be along before too long.

Not such a good day for The Terriers though.

Is Barney celebrating?

I was listening to the match...sounds like Wigan didn't have to work very hard for their goals. :(

Must improve.

Just watching Sevilla v Celta Vigo on sky and it was nice to see the 2 Spanish half time analysts wearing poppie's ....nice touch.

Some odd results this weekend....were you on the end of one.

I am celebrating thanks Foxy.

The match itself was an absolute stinker. A guy three seats from me actually fell asleep in the first half. I jest not.

Taylor made three half time subs (very rare) and the second half was a bit more entertaining.

The win and three points are all that matters at the moment.
We are now safely ensconsed in mid table anonimity.

Loved the Leicester goal by the way. What a 'header'

We are off tomorrow on the Oriana for 12 nights but will keep an eye out for all results

I saw Woods' goal on MOTD last night too.

That boy sure has some skill doesn't he? Reacting and directing that ball into the net with his head was an act of brilliance, wasn't it Foxy? ;)

I don't think people really appreciate Wood's lightning quick response in scoring that goal - sheer brilliance. Of course that's what he intended to do!!

When it ended up in the onion bag I wasn't sure whether to cheer or to laugh. Poor old Watford aren't having much luck at the moment are they? (Probably used it all up last year). Last week it was the goal that was but wasn't and this week it's Almunia's howler. :lolno: I wonder what they'll conjure up for next week.

Possibly but we beat you 2:1 only last month ... had you forgotten

Well done the Foxes, you deserved the 3 points but we were deflated by a ' smack in the face '.

Well the gunners were just not quite good enough today. However at the start of the season if some one would have said that we would lose to them but still be top I would have said they were mad.

Brackley Town got a draw at Gillingham. Apparently we sent 4 coach loads of fans down there, I wondered why I could park in the market place. I may pop down for the replay could be a good game.

I'm not talking about footie this week. I attended the Town match, but saw precious little of what could be described as "football" from our shower!

Just coming round after yesterday's disappointing result against the tree huggers. How did we manage to lose that one? They had three forays into our half in the first 45 minutes and scored two goals. Meanwhile, despite all our pressure we couldn't hit a cow's backside with a banjo. Chance after chance went missing and in the second half they shut up shop. We couldn't even score when the ref gave us a penalty.

What a depressing afternoon. The only consolation was that none of the leading teams won so not too much damage done.

I see Ipswich won in a bit of a thriller against Blackpool. Looked like an entertaining match.

As I said to RB in an earlier post, I wouldn't be surprised if we were knocked out.

We seem to have a bit of a habit of that.

Never mind. The league is more important :lolno:

Credit to Brackley. It wasn't even as if we put out a particularly weak side.

Onwards and (hopefully) upwards

Hi Barney,

As you say the league is more important and if i had the choice with the Arsenal I would want to win the league rather than a cup even after 8 years without winning anything.

As for Brackey I don't think they will win it but apparently the money from the cup will keep them going for the next 3/4 years. They certainly rode there luck at times on Monday and for the game to be televised it certainly got the town buzzing even the women at work who have no interest in football watched the game.

My son was very disappointed last night. He changed shifts at work to get off in time for the Gateshead -v- Oxford cup replay and it was postpones as pitch was waterlogged.

It's a pain when it happens Susan. I once travelled to an away match. It was fine when we set off. When we got there it was what is commonly called a pea-souper and the match was called off. Not only the disappointment of a match missed but the cost of a wasted journey. Sadly it happens all the time. Fortunately mine was just a short journey but imagine a Blackpool vs Yeovil journey or Carlisle to Bristol. Ouch!

Last season all Gatesheads matches were away matches because of problems with the pitch. Luckily the club put on free coaches for the fans as they played all over the country wherever someone would let them use a pitch.

I cant see them going up this year either. Too many draws away from home, and the gates at those non league clubs are pathetic, at least Luton still have a hard core of loyal supporters.

The Terriers are live on Sky tomorrow lunchtime, in a local(ish) derby vs Sheff Weds. I'll be baggsying my prime seat in t'pub a good half hour before kick-off..... hope I end the session toasting the Town, and not drowning my sorrows...

My lot must have had a bit of an ear-bashing at half time as a different team turned out in the second half. 2 - 1 win. That'll do nicely.
