"Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"

Unread post by Onelife »

For those who are thinking about shedding a few pounds in readiness for the 2014 cruise season Onelife will be launching his community (Pinch an inch diet) starting January 3rd.

All welcome... I may even wavier the joining fee if we get enough members...There’ll be no embarrassing public weigh-in and you can eat as much as you like as long as you tell the truth when you proudly tell all and sundry what you’ve lost each week.

For those who are interested the “Pinch an inch diet” consists of nothing more than the will power to resist what you know you shouldn’t be eating.

Just to make you feel better Onelife will be aiming to lose 32 lbs which should (in six months time) get me somewhere near my target weight of 11 stone 8 lbs.

In the mean time eat drink and be merry.

I’ll revisit this thread on January 2nd to see who has the will power to sign up.

Regards

dear porky cheese eater
I wish you well in your quest to be able to see your feet, when you are standing up
sadly I will not be joining you in your fine effort as I will be eating like a starving dog over xmas and I am on a cruise mid Jan, this will also involve eating copious amounts of food and alcohol

but I hope you achieve your goal and are able to relieve your lovely wife ,of the onerous duty of having to put your socks on for you and having to tie your shoe laces

Have a lovely trip Alan and bring me back some American carrots as I’ve heard they’re better for your eyes than the ones you can get here

Hi Onelife,

I would like to join your "pinch an inch" diet please. We are going on the NYE cruise on Azura and will be back on the 12th January. I need to loose 7lbs at the moment but when we return I expect it wwill be more than that. I promise to be truthful about what I eat and how much I have lost each week!!!

Count me in too. I have lost 20lbs over the past eighteen months but with this miserable weather, the temptation to 'comfort eat' is strong. Home made chocolate brownies today; must do better tomorrow!

Welcome to the club Robbie, KarenandBob, and Frank.

Whether its stones, lbs or ounces you’re looking to lose Onelife’s “Pinch an Inch diet” will get you feeling healthier, fitter and slimmer ....It’s just that I haven’t quite worked out how we are going to do it yet!!

Just a few more members then I can start my motivational speeches...In the mean time repeat after me....

“I need to lose weight and I’m going to do it”

Hey Robbie if you are what they call skinny then I must be grotesquely overweight

Frank - I know exactly what you mean about comfort eating during this miserable weather plus I am a fair weather walker and we don't seem to be doing any walking at all at the moment (only out the front door and straight into the car) so I would also like and need to join the pinch an inch diet. Please count me in Onelife. Thanks, Maureen.

Hi Onelife,

I have already signed up to your Pinch an Inch diet" and just wandered if you had seen the "myfitnesspal.com" site - it calculates your calories and takes into account the exercise you have done that day - it bases it on 1200 calories a day for ladies not sure about men.

I put on a stone when I gave up smoking three years ago and I have managed to loose 7lbs of that but just can't manage to loose those last few pounds, so I need all the help I can get. Really looking forward to this site becoming a reality.
