I'm glad you put the word comedian in inverted commas Romig - Brucie is certainly not in the category of those who unfortunately have died on stage like Tommy Cooper and Eric MorecambeRomig1 wrote:P'raps he's hoping to be the first "comedian" to ACTUALLY die whilst performing?GillD46 wrote:I honestly thought he was actually having a stroke at one stage last night and was quite certain medics would rush on stage and cart him off!
He REALLY needs to go now.

I don't know why, but Natalie is not at the top of my list. I also thought Sophie was going to be great.
I love Susannah and Kevin 'from Grimsby' although she wasn't as good last night (last week would take some beating). Also Ashley and Ola have a lot to offer.
As regards Bruce - well

I don't know what it is about Natalie, but she doesn't float my boat either!
Well Ben has gone! He did make two really obvious mistakes, is Mark going to win?? No of course not, but I think he might just go to the wire.
Somehow this week lacked verve. Lets hope next week gives us a bit more oomph.

More inconsistent judging. The programme is becoming a joke. If I were a betting man I would back Mark Benton to win after that fiasco.

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
In fairness even by no stretch of the imagination is Mark Benton a dancer there was more actual dancing in his programme than Ben's. It seems more and more static fill-ins are being choreographed into routines in order to mask the fact that some partners cannot dance so you actually see very little dancing from them. Whilst Ben did plenty of amazing lifts and carries he didn't seem to do very much more.
A bad night for his lady admirers though. And Mark's days must now be numbered.

What worries me is all you guys who appear to be watching this stuff. Should you not be watching rugby or football and leaving the girlie nonsense to the girls?

Oh, I wouldn't dream of interfering with the matrimonial viewing, David, I just go somewhere else and do/watch something else while the "dancing" is on. I do admit to watching a bit in the early days when there were a few "celebrities" that I had actually heard of but now, with the obvious exception of the ex Ben Cohen, they all look the same to me and I couldn't care less who wins.david63 wrote:Ever heard of "matrimonial harmony"? Who says we are watching the dancing, with Ola, Aliona, etc in the show??kaymar wrote:What worries me is all you guys who appear to be watching this stuff. Should you not be watching rugby or football and leaving the girlie nonsense to the girls?
As for football! Many an over paid prima donna is masking as a footballer. Rugby is becoming almost as bad as boxing for violence. Cricket? Now you are talking!

OK, Frank, point taken, although it can't be the same without Flavia

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
Come on folks!! It was a great night of music and dance last night, and apart from Mark, we are at a loss as to who will win, because we like them all. At present we are admiring Susannah Reid, because that was a fast and furious quickstep, and she of all of them has had the least dance experience. Very gutsy to emulate the sofa scene from singing in the rain. Especially as the original film required so many retakes to get it right.

I'm still getting over the shock of Craig dishing out a 10. Probably a celebratory gesture for recovering from his hip op, or should that be hip hop so quickly.
That's one for the archives.

Lovely voice, but the words of that song makes both of us cry, so we try not to hear it; ever.Stephen wrote:Alfie Boe, what a voice, beautiful.
What price Abby and Natalie in the final dance off?
What is it about Claudia that irritates me? I used to like her on 'It takes two'.
Yes. Right up to the vote, I was still half expecting the judges to dump Ashley.Dancing Queen wrote:Pleased to see they voted the 'right' person off this week![]()

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
If I vote at all, which is highly unlikely now, it will be for Sophie Ellis Bextor, or Susanna Reid. However the remaining dancers are all so good that any one of them could win. I think Abby has a great chance due to public popularity.
As for your electricity bill.....have you considered busking OL?
