Andrea Bocelli at Leeds Arena

Unread post by Wina G »

For any of you fans out there the tickets have gone on sale today for the Andrea Bocelli concert at Leeds Arena on Saturday 14th September, he's also doing one at The Hydro in Glasgow on Sunday 15th :)

We've already booked ours, it will be the 3rd time we have seen him ... Manchester MEN, Liverpool Echo & now the new Leeds Arena :D

Looking forward to it already.

He's gotten much more popular since we first saw him years ago...and the prices have moved upwards accordingly.

Thought about staying overnight in Leeds - but the cost of the hotel parking will pay for a "Day Rover" for us to bus/train it there and back - and a taxi from Huddersfield station at midnight!

Would have loved to have seen him, especially as we live in Leeds - but he is here on the evening that we get back from our holiday & I don't think even I will have the energy to drop my suitcases in the hall & set off straight to the Arena. Ah well, maybe another time!

He's our favourite singer of all time and we'd love to see him in Leeds, but we don't get back from our cruise 'til the next day. Do you think he would postpone for us or should we cancel the cruise?

Keechy. Perhaps he'll come round to your house and do you a private concert too? ;)

Cheapest seats £45 + booking fee. I'm also expecting to see some semi-naked dancers for that kind of price
...but from way up "in the Gods" I'll prbably need my binoculars!

Do you keep these binoculars specially for watchinjg semi-naked people?

He was indeed fantastic.

Less good though was the £15 they wanted for a programme. :o

However, this being Yorkshire, I think the 13,000 audience bought just the one - and passed it around.

Pleased to hear you had a good time both.

Did Romig get to see his semi-naked dancers or did the £15 price tag on the programme put him off?
I was taught to be cautious

Only £15 - I have seen them on sale at some concerts at £25 (and no I have not paid that much for one - although I did pay £20 for Cher's farewell tour which will now have to be renamed the pre farewell tour)

I love his duet with Bryn Terfel, the aria from 'The Pearl Fishers'.

Hiya Wina/Romig

Just seen your OP...Didn’t bother reading the rest.

Well who’s a plonker then ?...Yes you’ve guessed it ....I’ve just spent the last ten minutes looking for some tickets for the "2014" September concert... What a Plonker!!!!

I can’t tell you how envious I am but so pleased you both had a great time....did he sing “Because we Believe”? I just love that song.

Kind regards

Keith
