Yes, I think you are right. I think the public vote will go to the one (Abby) who has not come from a stage school dance background and Patrick and Natalie both have that, whereas Abby is just naturally fantastic and a great personality. Sorry to see Ashley go because I think Len was right, his dance was better than Patricks (Sorry OL; imho). Amazed that Susanna was kept in. I really enjoyed her dance.Dark Knight wrote:Abby will win it ...have no doubt

I'd really love Sophie to win, though I don't think she will. Therefore I'm backing Abby. Just hope it isn't one of the smug ones!

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
Oh dear...what the hell was that all about? Susanna was right to look shocked, but not as shocked as I was at seeing Patrick standing where she should have been standing ...What was nice though was the way she kept saying “thank you” at every opportunity to what I can only presume were hordes of the misguided, short sighted BBC Good morning viewers... I personally found myself reaching for the sick bowl.
You can’t but help like Abby, her infectious personality just grows on you I might even go and have a tenner on her to cover my bet
”Abby is just naturally fantastic and a great personality” Spot on Frank...And I also enjoyed your “IMHO Ashley was better than Patrick Joke!!”
You were joking wasn’t you Frank?

Must admit I was surprised to see Ashley go.
I really thought it would be Susanne.

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
Without doubt it should have been Susanne. Worst dance of the night by far, last on the leader Board so the judges did their job IMHO.
She has the most viewers on side but all the Ashley fans will now vote for anyone but Susanne. Hopefully she will go next week unless her dancing improves dramatically.
Shame though cause Kevin from Grimsby is a breath of fresh air.

Hi Andrea,Andrea S wrote:OL, I didn't get to see much of last nights show but from previous weeks I have thought that all of the contestants have had good and not so good weeks.
Perhaps I am wrong but I would imagine that the male contestants find it much harder to adapt to 'letting themselves go' but Patrick makes it look easy.
I do think the younger ones have more ability Abbie is very graceful and blends with her partner but Sophie seems to struggle with the closeness to her partner.
Natalie is very expressive and Susanne has done far better than I would have imagined.
I think DQ's phewwwww will put more points Patricks way.
You post read very well and sums things up nicely. I know what you mean about Sophie... she does look a bit awkward around Brendon but given his reputation with previous dance partners that comes as no surprise.
Not wishing to start rumours... but if I was Abby’s husband I’d be having words with her... she looks to me to be getting a little too close for comfort with her partner??...but I am the jealous type.
I know what you mean about Patrick...apparently I’m the splitting image of him...be nice Stephen

Where you been this last few of days?.... I haven’t missed you but I’m sure others have
I think our Len is showing classic signs of turrets as he’s starting to come out with loads of gobbledygook...you’re not related are you?
Now if you’re the friend I think you are you’ll be picking the phone and helping keefy pay his Electricity repair bill...Vote Patrick
Btw How many Christmas light did you sabotage last night?
Oh and may I be the first to wish you and your long suffering wife a very happy Christmas...just in case nobody else does.
Regards
Keefy

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
I am hoping Abby wins. Considering she has never had dancing lessons she is extremely elegant and graceful, and comes across as a very genuine and sincere person. I find Susanna's fawning to the cameras rather irritating and am not very impressed by Patrick (sorry OL). Sophie tends to be a bit wooden and whilst Natalie looks a good dancer she doesn't seem to have the same grace as Abby.
To be honest what I know about dancing would go on a postage stamp. Consequently I'm devastated there will be no more Ola but didn't Aliona look fabulous!!!
Wow!!

I generally agree OBF. We like Sophie, but she is just a bit cool, I think she is a 'one man woman'.... and she doesn't want to upset her husband... a bit like my Sue.oldbluefox wrote:I am hoping Abby wins. Patrick is terribly flat footed when he's dancing. Has anyone else noticed this?

NO!!
I can only think you’ve been spending too much time in the company of Frank and OBF if you think Patrick is flat-footed

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
According to Head Judge Len, Patrick wasn't flat footed doing the Rumba. He should have been but wasn't as he was doing heel leads. A big no no for a Rumba.
Patrick just oozes style and Charisma. He totally immerses himself in the story of the dance.
I so hope it is him and Abby in the final. Unfortunately we will miss the semi and the final as we will be in the Caribbean but will try to down load it on I player or if not catch up after Xmas.

I shall miss the final too, I'm in hospital having my knee resurfaced. Had a total knee replacement 3 years ago, but that doesn't include doing anything with the knee cap, so now I have to go back and have it resurfaced! That's my Christmas sorted, but I'm more gutted to be missing Strictly final.

Re: For all you Strictly Fans ....
Not this hospital, well not in the ward, there's a day room I think, with a tv in it but I won't be allowed out of bed until after all my drips and drains are out and this won't be until after Strictly has been on. Only having my op on the 20th. I know I can record it but once you know who's won it's not the same.Stephen wrote:Deefitz wrote:I shall miss the final too, I'm in hospital having my knee resurfaced.
