A day of surprises then. Good on the winners, they deserved it.
I have to shake my head when people always refer to hating a particular team or being gleeful if that team loses - I don't understand it, I hate war, and child abuse and human trafficking and prejudice, and all sorts of other horrible things, but not a football team .......

I saw the latter parts of the Liverpool match. Weren't they a shambles? I have never seen a defence so exposed as that. Oldham deserved the win.

Romig, Only 2 drawn games so assuming ITV & ESPN have one each our replay should be on TV, hope its ITV otherwise I might have to invest in ESPN for a short time.Romig1 wrote:Huddersfield first out of the sack....home to Wigan.

I have to agree with you there, Mo2013. Football does seem to bring out extreme emotions in some people. Whatever the immortal Shankly may have said, it is still only a game.

Now that sounds like a good idea, much better than OBF's idea of traipsing down the M1 and driving back feeling miserable, and sober.Romig1 wrote:Towny, if that's the case and it's on ESPN I'll be at the pub....much cheaper than a subscription!

Seems you cannot make ' SIX ' changes to a winning formula and still expect to win

Re: Football
Who does John Terry think he is? His latest outburst 'what have you done to my Chelsea?' (My? ) is directed at Rafa Benitez, I would have thought his comments were more suited to the owner. Even if they had the most successful manager in the world they would still find fault.

Re: Football
Mob, we did the same against Romig's lot and nearly got a nose bleed. Six changes is too much even if you are trying to rest players.
Mind you I'm not complaining!!
Interesting comments by John Terry. Sometimes players have so much and get above themselves. His comments are hardly going to help his club's cause, will fuel unrest in the dressing room and in the past he has hardly been a paragon of virtue. Would you really want him around as a model professional? I think Chelsea would do well to get rid of him. There certainly seems to be a lot going on backstage.

Re: Football
John Terry seems to have an inflated sense of his own importance and I agree that his comments cannot be beneficial to the dressing room. I believe too that there is something not right at that club. I remember one game on tv when I saw him actually telling the players what to do from the sidelines whilst Di Matteo was just sat there. Unbelievable. I've never seen another player direct the players whilst the coach is sat there. I wonder if he really wants to be manager and that's why no-one else will do? God knows they've had so many managers, all different personalities and pedigrees, yet none of them were suitable.

Re: Football
Away to Huddersfield tonight.....We need to start winning again if we are to take our rightful place in the second automatic promotion place (I don't think anyone will catch Cardiff now.)....Watford had a chance to move up the table last night but I think they blew it.
Does anyone know how Watford got on last night? .... They lost 2:0
Despite the popular belief that players don't care about their clubs or the fans...some do and I think John Terry is one of them....he might have been a bit naughty in the past but he does care....

You might not like us on Feb 12th!
Zaha looks like a decent talent...when he's not on his a*se on the floor...he likes to fall down a bit...should fit in perfectly at Old Trafford. Mind you, half of Palace's side liked to fall down tonight.

Why did Beckford come on and only last 6 or so minutes? Did he get injured? I see Danns played too.
