I am with u Ken, my nephew has taken me to the one in Edinburgh and Dunfermline and I have never had a good meal on either, and we have. Tried them several times. I am led to believe however that our F&B is below par ... I just wish some friends who live near a different F&B (and always rave on about it) would stop sending us vouchers for it.

We sometimes stay at a Holiday Inn Express en route to Southampton & have been to F&B's there, never had a problem with the food

All my family love FB it's often there choice when choosing going for somewhere to eat, especially the grand children.
As much as I love burgers don't think I have ever had one in FB or for that matter on a cruise ship. I like those from my local kebab shop.
Lorraine loves FB spaghetti bolognaise, my son and his wife loves the pizza's .

I love the "2 courses for £10" deal they do (including Friday nights).
Considering that the cheapest burger on the menu is about £9 I think, it represents great value - despite the restricted options available.

Lorraine and our daughter recently had a night out together for a quick meal followed by the Les Mis film, they chose FB for the meal.
Lorraine had a garlic bread pizza, followed by her spag bog.
Actually I think they shared the pizza as their starter.

One of our sons worked in the Environmental Science arena during the MCD / BSE period, the tales he could tell, we still eat and enjoy burgers but almost exclusively only those we have minced and made ourselves from quality grade meat.
For £9 Mobietta could make ... maybe a dozen quarter pounders, albeit extra for the cheese and one sided bun

Best burger I ever had was a minute Aberdeen Angus fillet burger served as an h'orderves in a Michelin 1 star restaurant.
The flavour texture and juiciness was something else.
...though I doubt we'll be seeing those at a P&O poolside bar anytime soon!

Aberdeen Angus is certainly hard to beat but the Ecoli 105 it is prone to is a real life threatener.
I do hope I haven't put anybody off their burgers

I have to admit - and please forgive me Romig as I know you are a connoisseur of poolside burgers but I didn't get a chance to try them on the first cruise
our next cruise is for 12 days so more time and more opportunity to rectify that and then I will report back. Are the burgers charged for or freebies?

Because friends keep giving us vouchers for them and I have never had the heart to tell them that the one near us is rubbish ... I currently have about £80 of vouchers in my safe ... and I live in hope that maybe they will get a new chef, new kitchen staff, new menu, new management and new waitresses and it will be fine.Quizzical Bob wrote:I have to ask... Couldn't resist quoting from OBF's offering in last Friday's "Mornin' All"
Reading the label on these Tesco burgers.... it turns out they're fairly low in fat, but surprisingly high in Shergar
Is it a coincidence that 'hamburgers' is an anagram of Shergars Bum ?
