Good to see the foxes have a good result but how lucky are forest?
Hi Kazibelle.
Perhaps I was being a touch mean with my praise.... I reckon that the combination of Ward and Wisdom on the right was a good one which will cause many teams problems, and the midfielder Bryson looked decent too.

Just got back from Christmas in Leicester and am chuffed to bits with yesterday's results which all went our way. I never thought I'd see the day when I was willing Florist to win!!!

I see Malky MacKay got the heave-ho today. He didn't deserve that but somebody will pick up a decent manager. Mind you I said that about Southampton when they sacked Nigel Adkins..............

Good result for Huddersfield against the division's form team. I'm not sure about Derby going up this year but if they manage to keep the team together, they will be a formidable team next year with the young talent they've got. Mob's Watford got back to winning ways, leading to another managerial casualty. I don't feel too sorry for them though when I look at the amount of compensation they get. I wish I'd have got that much for not producing the results. I needn't have worked so hard!!

I'll not mention Gillingham but after all they were playing the league leaders so 1-2 wasn't such a bad result although Barney will feel 2-1 would have been better!!

Chasing Cambridge!!
Nasty foul by Barnet has robbed Hatters of a good midfield player, Jonathan Smith, even then the ref wasn't going to send Nurse off until the third official intervened....dirty side Barnet!

Derby would do well to build the team before getting promoted
they would struggle in the prem and lose some of their younger better players to the top flight teams
mind you most likely one or two will be off in the Jan window

another season in the championship would not be the worst thing for the Mighty Rams

6-0????? Who's a happy bunny then?

Having beaten two of our top contenders we now play Bolton, who are lower down the table. Not being a pessimist but anything could happen this afternoon. We always seem to play better against the top order teams and lose to those in the relegation zone.

Me OBF! It has even banished my despair at the England cricket results. (Aussie sister in law is gloating on Sue's skype as I write! ) Luton's place is in the Football League. The manager says he isn't getting excited until there are three weeks to go, and they are within striking distance of promotion.

Come on you 'atters!

I agree with you totally DK we've seen it before not to mention the last time we were up.we just don't want anything like that ever again.mind you if forest get anywhere near going up,billy will put a stop to it as I think he's frightened to death of the premiership,he's happy to sit in the championship, looking good.

Me too Frank... I figured that their Goalie couldn't find the ground

We have QPR today so a 0:0 may, or indeed may not, be on the cards.

Who's a chirpy chappy tonight. A good match at the KP stadium today with plenty of on-field drama which thankfully went our way. It now puts us 4 points clear at the top but still a long way to go. Thank you to Mob's friends who held QPR to a draw and well done to Wigan who took 2 points off Burnley in a local derby.

Talking of Derby they are still going strong; another win today taking them into second spot so they are going really well.

Smashing result for Romig's team after coming from behind. Plenty of goalmouth action there. Have they been linked with Nahki Wells in the transfer window?

Barney's boys got another point so not a bad afternoon at all.

BTW Mob predicted well today. Onelife needs to have a word and pick up some tips.

Our next match, Jan 1st 2014, is at Huish Park-ish the home of Yeovil Town. Hopefully they will not bounce back from today's drubbing ... it's on SKY so 5:1 to us will do very nicely

Moby, if Yeovil play as poorly as they did today, then I reckon that you and Mobietta could play for Watford, and you'd still win.

I didn't feel at all worried when Yeovil took the lead - though it was a really soft goal to concede. They hardly touched the ball in the first half - such was our crisp passing and their inability to get anywhere near close enough.
They were sent out for the second half 5 mins early and they did offer a bit more for the first 10 minutes...unfortunately for them we went on a bit of a scoring spree. A really entertaining game (for Town fans anyway), which could easily have ended up 10-4, or thereabouts.
Nice to prove that we aren't totally reliant on Vaughan for goals, and the result is evidence of the good football that we've been playing recently, yet not getting the results for.

Yesterday we were 'visited' by about 100 crazy Belgians. They came over a few weeks ago to see Marcel Wasilewski, who used to play for Anderlecht until he suffered a nasty broken leg. He was much admired by them to the extent they book a couple of coaches, stack it up with drink and make the long trip over to UK to see their 'hero'. If possible they pull in a couple more matches before heading home.

At the end of the match Wasilewski went over to them and 'shared' his clothing!!

Winds of 30+ mph are forecast so Mobietta would have to miss the second half else run on the spot

So it's FA Cup 3rd Round weekend.... who do we all play?

Town have a tie away at Grimsby which should be a reasonably comfortable game - but knowing our record there we'll probably come unstuck.

Hope we're in the hat for the next round, where we can draw Man Utd at home.

We're a goal down to Stoke at the moment. Looking at the teams it seems nobody is too bothered win or lose. We have given a run out to one or two who have been warming the bench and giving a rest bearing in mind we have a big match next week when we host Derby. I suspect the attraction of promotion is greater than the remote possibility we might win the Cup.

At the moment we seem to be overrun by Stoke's big men at the front and their big men at the back. No point in playing the ball in the air.

Lost 2-1 but not disgraced against a very experienced Stoke team. Now time to bring on the Sheep!!!

Huddersfield into the hat for the next round and Watford taking the tie back to their ground.

Where's Barney? I see Gillingham had a very good win against Wolves yesterday which moved them quite a few places away from the relegation zone. And Frank's Luton were involved in a high scoring 0-0 draw but being top versus low down they may have been expecting more. Trouble is Cambridge have games in hand.

Hope we don't get Forest in the next round .... 5:0 against West Ham

Sam may be looking for a new job anytime soon me thinks.

ps ... seems if all goes well we could travel to Man City for the next round : Gulp :

It could have been worse Mob............... but not by much!!!!

How much longer is Sam going to hang on? The Hammers looked a very poor team and possibly made Forest look better than they are. Morrison was dire but none of them looked interested.

Not posted for a while but the Gunners still seem to keep picking up points.
Not sure who Arsene will get to replace Theo but at least it's happened in January and not February when it would be too late to get someone in.
Nice to see we put that lot up the road in there place... £100 million for a load of waiters.

I'm right here Foxy !!!!!

Had man-flu since Saturday (proper man-flu) but back in the game today.

Had a good celebration Friday night. We seem to be finding form at the right time.

A good away win this weekend? (Colchester) and then Swindon at home and another decent crowd.

It's starting to look up.
