cor blimey the snow has been pants today although junior is very happy they closed his school just before midday which in his eyes was miles to late and then a couple of his friends popped around and they spent the afternoon having snowball fights and on the PS heaven as far as they are concerned. Lulucat and Debs, ignore my last post as Lulucat answered the question in a previous post

Lulucat wrote:Right then, where it says about new messages at the top, press the little wheelnut thing to the right of it and then press profile and then avatar. You can then download from your computer. But it only accepts a very small size, so make it as small as you can. Had several goes before I got Lulu, but here she is
Thanks Lules found it just have to find my avatar now.

Hi Babs!! Bet all the kids are happy with being off school and glad junior was having fun.
It's great to be on here although I've just spent ages trying to upload an avatar but everything's too big.
Debs DD may be excited but that's understandable, I've a 28 year old who can't wait for the sleigh she's bought to be delivered.

A night for celebrating, as with a bit of luck, we can get lots of people back together again. Are we ready to put the 'address' on other places to get people to 'come back'?

I'm not on Facebook either Lulu and I'd like to email the address to those on my P&O Friends profile, I'm sure everyone will be glad to be able to catch up with each other.
It's really nice to see you and I'm very impressed you managed to upload Lulu as your avatar, I'm still trying to figure out how to 'shrink' a photo.

I couldn't shrink a photo small enough either Dot. I had to go with a Googled image instead.

I can save photos in a few sizes - have you checked that you can't do this on your computer? I have small, medium and large images - surely others have the same

Yes I can do this on my pooter but the smallest size (and lowest quality setting) was still too large file size wise.

Night Babs, it's been great chatting again.
Lulu and Debs, I've been cropping different photies but can't manage to get them under the 6.00 limit. Anywho, I'll keep playing around with it, I may get lucky.

There are free resizing tools on t'internet...I've used them before, but don't know if they can shrink sufficiently.

Hi Jenni glad you've been able to join David's new forum, it really does look good, hopefully now you can keep in touch with some of others on your cruise in February, if the forum stays offline.
Dancing Queen hope you manage to upload your avatar successfully and thanks for checking with David.
Romig.............better late than never.
Oooh I do like this 'someone's posted since you wrote your reply' thingy, I've tried cropping a picture on Google until there's only a teeny weeny bit of it left and it's always over the file allowance, are there other ways to make it smaller Romig

I'm no expert regarding resizing...I think I've just been lucky so far...
I'll have a play around and try and load one myself today.
Oh, and I've emailed Jacksparrow and sent her the link to this forum - don't know if anyone already had.
