Beware though that foods that claim to be "reduced fat" will quite often contain more sugars - you need to read the nutritional information on the products.Romig1 wrote:Just eat less fats than normal

According to a news item yesterday - if you eat around 800 calories a day for a couple of weeks will reduce the risk of all sorts of health problems and also weight…
By the way I have lost 2 lbs this week.

Good morning pinchers,
Well today started off with a bowl of porridge with a sprinkling of splenda, three Ryvita with crumbled ham topped off with cress and a side salad of green olives for lunch. Just prepared dinner which consists of roast beef with 4 veg....don’t you just love dieting?
Emjay.....you must try harder less of course you want to be the recipient of the not so coveted wooden spoon to stir your treacle sponge pudding
Well done Frank,...by my reckoning a 3lb weight loss should be well within your grasp by next Sundays weigh in.
However getting your hands on the coveted celery stick may have to wait another week as there's been an objection and stewards inquiry into when you started the pinch-an-inch diet so to be fair to all runners that are in contention (me) to pick up the coveted celery stick the steward may have to reverse the placings.....chin up its only a celery stick...besides try looking on the bright side.... Mob will probably pop up and say its full of suger!!
Hi Sparrow......well done you......keefys very proud of you

Two Shredded Wheat with a tablespoon of sultanas, semi-skimmed milk, small glass of orange juice with cod-liver oil capsule and two cranberry extract pills, coffee for breakfast.
Pork steak in 5-spice sauce, green beans and 4 small goose-fat roast King Edwards, mince pie and icecream, glass of Tempranillo for dinner.
Two mile walk to Tesco (one mile each way).
Maybe finish the bottle of Tempranillo (with help from the Lady C and SIL) tonight after supper.
Thinking about toying with the idea of contemplating the possibility of considering of maybe wondering about walking to work during the week (6 miles each way).

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
I started my diet on Monday 30 December as was desperate to get back on the wagon after a 2 week cruise. I had a lapse Tuesday and Wednesday and started again on Thursday 2 January and have stuck to it since.
I had put 13lbs on since embarking Azura and need to lose that before departing on 29 Jan to embark Arcadia on 2 February.
I was hoping for a 5lb loss at weigh in today but only managed 4 .5 lbs but pleased with that. I realise that at this stage it is mainly fluids and there will be a reduction in weight loss next week.
I am hoping for a further 3lb weight loss by next Sunday but I do have my birthday on Thursday which will mean champagne and a meal out on Thursday and again with family on Saturday so I may be being too optimistic.
Well done to all the losers and Good luck for this week.
Remember. FRIDGE PICKERS WEAR BIGGER KNICKERS.

I hasten to point out I haven't started my diet yet. I'm actually too scared to weigh myself at the moment but as soon as all the goodies left over from Christmas are gone I promise to make a real effort. I fear I may be the winner of wooden spoon next week. You are all SO disciplined.

Had celery in a beef casserole yesterday, now having bought one of those whizzer thingeys we are going to make celery soup with the left overs and some celeriac. We have abourt 250g of beef and then make it last two days for two of us.Onelife wrote:Morning Frank,

Em
My motto is, once it's gone it's gone. Until then, enjoy it
Mind you, I did chuck out half a tube of salt and vinegar Pringles yesterday after deciding I don't really like them. In fact that is one of the things I AM going to try and cut back on, (no Onelife, that pleasure has long since been removed, not cut back, before you say anything
and that is salt. I do like my salt, too much really, so it's going to have to go. Well, we'll see

Re: "Onelife's Pinch an inch diet"
I know what you mean Emjay, sometimes its purgatory counting calories, when you are screaming inside for a Cream Devon Split, a large slice of chocolate cake, or a lovely packet of McVities Dark Choc digestives. But no gain without pain and having gone down from 223lbs to 199lbs over about 18 months, I am determined not to go back to the down side of being over weight. 42" waist trousers, knee pains climbing stairs, acid reflux, and puffed out after 12 holes on the golf course.
Onwards and downwards, then I can relax for a couple of weeks on a cruise with a glass or two of sauvignan blanc, or an ice cold San Miguel!
Stop tormenting yourself Frank!
