Thank You P&O

Unread post by Dancing Queen »

Well we are almost a year old so I would like to say a huge 'Thank You' to P&O because if they hadn't pulled the plug on a very substandard forum we would all still be there putting up with it.

Of course it wasn't all bad, some wonderful friendships were formed and lots of good information passed on.

A huge 'Thank You' also to David for giving us this wonderful forum and to the 'red penners' who have kept us all in order

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CRUISE COMMUNITY.

Spot on Jo!! P&O have not quenched our spirit, merely made us (me especially) aware of their commercial cynicism. Thanks to David for setting this up, but also to Old Blue Fox, Emjay, Dennis the Menace, Jack Sparrow, and Onelife, Stephen for his jokes and all the rest of you for your repartee.

Anyone know what happeed to Flora??

Thanks from me too. I love popping in here everyday to read everyones comments funny, entertaining and sometimes a little sad. As OBF once said it keeps me in touch with cruising. It is so much better than the old forum too.

All I can say is that this thread is spot-on - and there's no point in gilding this particular lilly as perfection can't be improved upon.

Thanks for a lovely year.

I couldn't agree more with everything written - I just wish I didn't spend so much time on here. It is almost as addictive as cruising. Maureen.

Almost as addictive as cruising! I echo what others have said. This is the best Cruising Forum on the net - bar none! So glad you were able and willing to set it up David. Long may it last!

Not wishing to spoil the party but l loved the old P&O site and all those who made it such an enjoyable experiance to be part of. It was in my opinion the best cruise furom going. I thought the administration staff were without exception the nicest and prettiest l have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Oh and l think the new look P&O web site looks brilliant...Oh and dose anyone know when the Britannia Naming Ceremony invites are due to be sent out?I

Not wishing to sound insincere but may l take this opportunity to wish all involved with this fourm a very happy birthday. As you will understand l have to suppress what l would like to say about this fourm until such time that the Britannia invitees have been announced. Nevertheless David should be very proud of what he has achieved  as should all the administrators in not dishing out any warnings to keefy Onelife

Regards

OL

I liked the P&O site much better

Had oodles of cyber friends on there ... but lost them all on here after becoming a Mod

Out of interest why, Boss Smurf, did I have to change my password given that I only did it a month or so back ?
