It beats our two nights in the Premier Inn at Barnwood, Gloucester! And that was booked several weeks ago. The only thing we've done spur-of-the-moment was to leave the coffee shop, where we had gone for a drink, walk over to the railway station and scoot off down to Weston-Super-Mare for the day.

OOh now that's tempting. I know I've probably got to change my 'having a break' regime for this year, and we are so incredibly fortunate that this wonderful country has oodles to offer.

That sounds lovely - it's a lovely town and a very nice area.

Have a great time.

We are off to Oxford in March with my sister in-law and husband for a short break, staying at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars for two nights.

While the ladies do their own thing on Saturday, we will be having our BBQ skills put to the test when we attend a pre booked 'Weber Thrill of The Grill part 1 course'.

There may be news reports with heavy smoke mentioned  :D
