I love nuts and although they are high in calories they have lots of benefits too. My own fault I meant to eat just a handful but got carried away. I usually have toast in the morning and no other bread, but have been trying just to have weetabix and no toast. I do have potatoes but didn't think they were too bad, I haven't had butter for years. Never mind I'll see what next week brings.

Hic... Now I know why I shouldn’t have had my third glass of Yellow Tail...Anyway before l pass out, squeak! Squeak! l thought l better say a massive "well done" to this week’s slimmer of the week... who just happens to be “Jo” (Dancing Queen) who has lost an amazing 3 1/2 lbs.

Congratulations Jo

It was a very close run thing for second spot but Susan & Suespud crossed the line together to gain a very creditable dead heat with an impressive 3 lb lost...”well done” Sue’s

Chuffed to bits for SueKersh who “will” have reached her goal by Wednesday...Have a great cruise Sue.

Really pleased with Mr Shinny who can eat like a king and yet still lose weight.

Slow but sure Frank.

As for the “wooden spoons” recipients...Well you can call me what you like but I’m no name caller so all I can do is wish them all the best for next week’s weigh-in...After all, it can’t be any worse than this week’s weigh-in can it? :)

As for me...I’ve gota be extra good this week as I have a party to go too at the weekend...

Remember pinchers...”Instant whip will sink the ship”

Stay strong pinchers

Regards

Keith.

Thanks Keefy although I didn't do anything special so it was obviously weight that needed to come off, I don't expect this week to be as easy but I will certainly be trying.

I firmly believe that drinking lots of water helps and I didn't do this last week ( mainly because when I do I'm up every two hours through the night lol ) but a girl has to do what a girl has to do so I'm quite prepared to disturb my 'beauty sleep' to get a positive result next week.

Oh and I haven't even started exercising yet ... I keep looking at the rowing machine but up to now that's all I've done .... look

Well done everyone else, if anyone has any tips ...please share.
Jo

Keith - have you got a saying to cover eating half of a M&S Strawberry Trifle (480 calories for a half) because that's what I have just stuffed. I think I am building up for next week's wooden spoon award.

Well done Jo.

Very good, Stephen - that made me laugh.
Perhaps Weight Watchers could give you and Keith jobs as quotation advisers for their adverts.

I'm not working with him, I'm too honest.

He'd give them all the spiel about weight watchers, then try selling his so called 'weight watchers choccies' as a side line......the lying two faced so and so ;)

Hi Maureen,

I can fully understand why you would think there are similarities between me and Stephen as we're both tall and handsome and share similar intrests... apart for the ones he's served time for that is. It would however be amiss of me to take credit for something that isn't of my making...the witty slogans which l think you wll agree have brought a little humour to the pinch-an-inch thread are in fact provided by one of our furom members, who, at this moment in time, wishes to remain anonymous.... probably due to the amount of money he's charging me!!

I would like to take this opportunity to remind Stephen that his rehabilitation programme requires him to refrain from making spurious comments about his victims...especially when they involve Onelife, giver of the finest "low calorie" chocolates

Remember.."too many chips put pounds on hips"

Stay strong pinchers

Keith - was it Dark Knight who was charging you for the slogans so that he could raise enough money to pay his bar bill on his cruise?

I have never ever served time. Tea and coffee, yes, but never time. And where he gets the idea he's tall and handsome god only knows. I think he got stitched up by whoever sold him the mirror. I wouldn't say he's short, but he uses a snake for doing pull up's.

Suekersh - I think it is tomorrow that you fly out to join Arcadia so just a quick message to wish you a great holiday and don't worry too much about your weight. Just enjoy yourself.

Hi Maureen,

The only way Darknightie would get money out of me would be if it came via Stephen...l donate to several charities but Alcohol Concern isnt one of them. I do however hope he's having a jolly good time

Hi all you pinchers,

Thanks for the Bon Voyage messages.

Good news is YES, got on the scales and the illy dive 1/2 lb has disappeared.

I would like thank everyone on here for the encouragement to keep going as I know without you I wouldn't have reached target.

Diet now goes out of the window for 8 weeks but eating sensibly 5 days a week is now my new regime.

By my reckoning that is 2 days per week x 8 weeks = 16 days of how I normally eat on a holiday so if I return having put only 16 lbs on I will be a reasonably happy bunny. My target is for less gain but I do intend to enjoy myself.

The diet begins again 1 st April.

Good luck to everyone and stay strong. I will look in here occasionally when I have Wi Fi.

Sue

Hi Jan,
Thanks for your post. Not really a star slimmer more a yo yo dieter.

The star slimmers are the ones who lose it and manage to keep it off long term. I suppose in the past I have done that but I just cannot keep to my target weight of 9 1/2 lb. As soon as I start eating normally a stone goes back on very quickly. I have tried getting below target weight but I look ill and still get back up to 10 1/2 stone.

Sue
