The Bridge! What a finale to series II

Unread post by Frank Manning »

Wow! any other fans of The Bridge out there?

Sue spotted that Gertrud was the real menace, before the penultimate episode was over.
We are buzzing with speculation that Martin is off on a new assignment from his chief. They had a suspicious unrecorded meeting towards the end. Poor Pernile, what a way to be killed off!

Almost enough to give you nightmares.

What's this? A murder programme my OH doesn't know about? In our house she watches every murder programme going. I get worried in case she is looking for the perfect murder.

How come in Midsomer Murders you get two or three murders every week but you never see a house for sale? And who would want to move there anyway? She says I have no imagination!!

Clearly there are not enough discerning TV viewers on this forum, or perhaps too many slow readers who might find following subtitles, without having their finger under the words, a bit too difficult.
Whatever the reason for such a poor response to this thread those who did not watch this great series missed a TV treat. Sofia Helin deserves a BAFTA for her portrayal of Saga Noren as an aspergers sufferer who also happens to be a brilliant detective.
Since this series left us with an undiscovered criminal I am hoping there will a 3rd series, presumably with Saga now prison visiting Martin! 8-)

Hi towny. Yes, sometimes I think I am totally out of step with my fellow 'forumeers', but hey ho, strike a blow for individualism I say.

They are already working on a 3rd series of The Bridge and personally I cant wait. I would also like to see Borgen return, and Il Giovanni Montalbano. BBC4 has Saturday late viewing sewn up for me most weeks.

Great stories, great acting.
