An appeal to folk living in the Southampton area - can you recommend a good pub quiz?

My team The Sinisters (we are all left handed) has suffered a double blow with two of our regular venues dropping their quizzes.

I've tried Googling but haven't had much luck. We turned up at one place on a dark and rainy night to be told they hadn't updated their website for 6 months and the quiz no longer ran (yes, we will phone to check next time).

Our requirements are modest. A reasonably nice pub, an interesting quiz that doesn't start too late and a cash prize for the winner (not that we usually go away with that!). And we don't mind going a few miles outside Southampton, the pubs we formerly used are in Romsey.

Any suggestions? Quizzical Bob is this one you can help with?

Hi Anne, I'll ask around. I believe there's one in the Dolphin in Hursley but I'll check. Believe it or not, I only do quizzes on cruises

Thanks Bob, just checked the Dolphin's website and it does have a quiz on Thursdays so that looks very promising.

Thanks Soton girl, 6.30pm is surprisingly early for a pub quiz but I will bear it in mind.
